Heavenly Father I speak courage into the heart and life and mind of this reader. Courage to love when it hurts and give when losing seems inevitable. Courage to build friendships with guys. Courage to trust that she is not forgotten and is in fact a dearly loved daughter of yours. Courage to finish her whatever she is working on in THIS moment. Courage to invite people into her life. Courage eat well even when it doesn’t seem worth it. Courage to smile because this is the day you have made. Courage to believe in the man and abundant life you have for her even when it seems a long way off. Courage to cut her hair if that’s what she wants to do or wait until after the summer. God you are courageous and put your courage in us. Thank you that none of this living has to be done in our own strength or courage!!! We love you. AMEN
Do you have something you want prayer for?! Leave a 🖤or if it’s something specific send me a message and I’ll send you your very own prayer!!!
You make me smile whenever I ask you to pray! I promise there’s nothing extra spiritual that happens when I talk to Jesus, I’ve just done it a lot of times so it sounds right. But that means it can sound right when you pray, too. You’ll just have to do it a lot of times.
I remember the first time I heard someone pray like she meant it. We were going around in a circle praying like any other day, but when she prayed she wasn’t talk TO God, she was talking WITH God. Ever since that day I have wanted to pray like her. Not because she was extra spiritual, but because the way she prayed was evidence of a relationship - a relationship I wanted. Her prayer-confidence not only put her in the presence of Jesus Christ, it let me feel His presence.
We’ve already established that praying with familiarity takes practice, but here are practical ways to build familiarity:
1. Pray out loud. I used to think this was overkill, but the more I pray out loud the more powerful and natural my prayers become (I think it’s because it’s easier to stay focused when you’re talking out loud).
2. Pray often. I do this by giving myself triggers...for example: my car. Whenever I get in the car I pray, or at least that’s my goal. It also provides a safe place for me to pray out loud!
3. Start your prayer by praising and thanking God. Just like we do when we journal, we’re acknowledging God’s presence and positioning our hearts to receive.
4. Pray scripture. I often don’t know what to pray, so I quote scripture verses over prayer requests and circumstances. When we pray God’s words we can’t pray wrong and they have EXTRA power, because He said them first!
5. Don’t be afraid of silence. When you don’t know what to say or bible verses aren’t coming to mind let silence remind you to sit in God’s presence...He speaks, too, you know?! But sometimes we have to get quiet to hear Him!
P.S. Find someone to pray out loud with!!!
Hey everyone! I am raising money in order to make a music video to my song, When The Young Die. Follow the link in my bio to help! This song is about all of the tragedies, loss, and hate happening in this world and my video will be a tribute to all of that. I want to make a difference, it might be small but it is still a difference. You can help by donating whatever you can and sharing this link with as many people as you can. This video will be featured on VEVO, CMT and more if it gets created. This project and your support means the world to me. I hope I can make this happen.
P.S. Some of the rewards include starring in my video, getting a song written by me about ANYTHING you choose, a signed album, and more!
For the next 58 days i’ll be honoring the beautiful angels we lost on October 1st by posting a picture and a little bit about each person every day.
Day 1- In Memory of Angel Sandy Casey
Sandy Casey, 35, a special-education teacher from Redondo Beach and was engaged to be married and attended the concert with her fiancé, Christopher Willemse.
“ she was just a kind soul and she was full of life and loved to live it,” Willemse told the Washington Post. “She made everybody smile, she was an excellent teacher and loved the kids she taught. Everyone who meets her never forgets her.”
The two got engaged while on vacation in New Zealand in April, and were in the process of planning their wedding.

"If you want to change the world, go home and love your family" - Mother Teresa .
My heart aches. This world is so unfair, so confusing, so scary. It makes me want to keep this little guy in a bubble, all to myself, so that he may never be hurt. Then I look in his eyes and I see GOOD... I pray that we can raise this next generation to practice more kindness, that we can teach tolerance & to emulate LOVE. Remember, changing the world is impossible alone, but teaching and sharing love within your family is a start 💙. #PrayingForVegas#RaiseGoodHumans#RaisingTinyHumans#ChangeTheWorld#MakeADifference#LoveYourFamily#GodHearOurPrayers
This is one of the reasons I am a die hard country music fan!!! During an artists of the year show, during the moment of showing live and appreciation to artists that have passed this year. They also listed all of the poor innocent people that tragically were taken too soon during the Las Vegas tragedy. #prayingforvegas#countrymusicfan#prayingforallofthefamilies
