I've heard it all before... Dr. Phanor I met him at the store, I met him at the gas station, somebody introduced me to him, he attends church, I met him the day after I broke up with my boyfriend, he does all the things my husband doesn't, he randomly slid in my DM from nowhere. Blah, blah, blah... How do you really know if something is a sign if you fail to recognize what a sign is?
You have to make sure you're seeking to obey what God has already revealed in Scripture. This includes things like studying His Word. That's a clear instruction from God. It doesn't really work to ignore God's revealed will but yet expect God to answer specific questions like who should be a part of your life.
As you study God's Word and spend time in prayer, your relationship with God grows and you begin to understand God's character. You will then be in the right place to hear God's instruction for other areas of your life. In addition to Bible study and prayer, be willing to seek Godly counsel from a mentor, pastor, or your parents.
If we're serious about following God's will, we have to recognize that it's not about getting what we want, but doing what God asks. We must trust that He is faithful and good, and that His will is what's best for us.
So, stop trying to figure out things that may not be signs and dig into the Word for revelation to more love.
I love ruining people's nights by telling them to go study. 😏😉🤓😎😂 I ❤️you!
Some days, all we can do is hide in God's word. Hiding in His promises of hope when little is around, hiding under his cloud of grace when few give us grace, and remaining hopeful of an eternity where pain and sorrow are replaced with springs of living water "Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." (Revelations 7:16-17 NIV) —————————————————————————
Keep faith and hope for Jesus' return. Be watchful for today, mindful to walk along God's path as tomorrow all believers may be home for eternity with those who have gone before us "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the beginning and the End." (Revelations 22:12 NIV) ————————————————————————
So what do we do today? Paul tells us in the book of Romans our answer is perseverence "Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." (Romans 5:3-5 NIV). God loves us in ways we cannot understand. When we feel alone or abandoned, God is with us, our Emanuel. ———————————————————————
No matter what your situation is today, will you go to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to carry you close to His heart? In your moments of doubt, confusion, pain, or suffering, shout to the Lord "This is all for Your glory!" And then rest in faith that He is with you, your Emanuel.

since last week, i’ve been trying to get up early so i could take artsy pictures of myself reading my bible at my church. but something always prevented me from getting there on time. this morning, as i am halfway to the church, i realize i forgot my lunch money and had to come back home. frustrated, i asked God why something has come up every time i’ve tried to go to the church and take pictures. and His response was that it wouldn’t be authentic. on regular days, i never even wake up early enough for prayer time at home. i would be telling a lie through my photos. Jesus wants us all to be authentic. you don’t have to go above and beyond to prove to Jesus or to others that you love Him. just be real.
“whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees you in secret will reward you.” matthew 6:6
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment. 1 Peter 3:3 NIV. Ask God to be content with the way you are. Focus on what the Bible calls true beauty: the beauty of a godly character. Above all, take care of your body, the Bible calls it a temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:19

“Praying through is all about consistency. It’s circling Jericho so many times it makes you dizzy. Like the story Jesus told about the persistent widow who drove the judge crazy with her relentless requests, praying through won’t take no for an answer. Circle makers know that it’s always too soon to quit praying because you never know when the wall is about to fall. You are always only one prayer away from a miracle.”
“Praying through is all about intensity. It’s not quantitative; it’s qualitative. Drawing prayer circles involves more than words; it’s gut-wrenching groans and heartbreaking tears. Praying through doesn’t just bend God’s ear; it touches the heart of your heavenly Father.”

I have 3 specific circles. While the details are for God: business + personal wellness/health + future partner are always being circled. The new @detroitbodygarage building is a bold answer that I specifically have been circling for months
Keep PRAYING through with all your heart.
It’s worth it. God hears you
Seriously? I need #prayer . I'm SUPPOSED to be working on an original #cartooning type project. But I'm not. I'm #procrastinating . Avoiding. Getting ready to get reading. Now, I can't sleep. I'm #depressed . And in a funk. Will someone please pray that the Lord Jesus Christ would bless me with the self-discipline and focus it takes to finish my writing/sketching/drawing so my ideas can come to fruition.
In spite of my setbacks, though, I DO know I serve a good God. I'm just going through a season of melancholy because my #art ain't coming out at the rate I want it. If you are a Child of God, I really do appreciate your prayers... 🙇🏾♂️
How can you learn about God?
Here are some Scriptures to meditate on. ▪Joshua 1:8 , Psalm 1:1-3– Read the Bible - Apply. ▪Acts 8:30, 31 – We need someone to explain the Bible. It helps. ▪ Romans 1:20 – Creation teaches us about God ▪1 Timothy 4:15 – Meditation helps us to learn about God ▪Hebrews 10:24, 25 – We learn about God from our Christian associates ▪James 1:5 – Pray for wisdom. 🙏
Now there is nothing wrong with any of these texts. It is, after all, biblical. However, something is missing, something vital. “Vital” refers to something that is “maintaining, supporting, or sustaining life.” What life-sustaining element is missing?
Hebrews 1:3 tells us that Jesus “is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact representation of his very being…” Paul told the Corinthians that while no one can truly know the mind of God, we do have the mind of Christ. (1 Cor. 2:16)
He gave this gem to the Colossians, treating it as a cautionary warning.
“Carefully concealed in him are all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge. 4 This I am saying that no man may delude YOU with persuasive arguments.” (Col 2:3, 4)
Since Jesus is the exact representation of God; since we can only know God’s mind through the mind of Christ; since all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge are found in Jesus; the answer seems obvious. You shouldn’t ignore the “Chief Agent and Perfector of our faith, Jesus.” – Heb. 12:2 Jesus revealed God through His words and works. He even said that no one comes to the Father but by Him (John 14:6). If you want to know who God is, and have a relationship with him, look at Jesus. John 17:3 So The Vital first step in knowing God better is to know Jesus Christ, who was sent from God. John 6:38 -
