I'm back... Let's talk about "staying on track while on vacation" . First of all f that, a healthy lifestyle doesn't involve denying yourself "less healthy food" or feeling guilty about eating 1 ice cream cone. I promote eatimg REAL food(minimally processed, homemade food), i don't count calories, I don't track macros... I look a ingredient labels and try to eat real food(ex. Plain yogurt with added fruit or nuts instead of flavored yogurt with artificial flavors or added sweetners). I eat carbs, protein and fat daily accorsing to what my body wants. Once in a while I enjoy a treat, its not my "cheatday", it's just a day when I eat pizza and ice cream instead of making my own pizza or homemade ice cream. When im on vacation I dont worry about findind the nearest gym. A week or 2 off of the gym won't kill me, I still try to be active though(hiking, biking). Thats life. Fitness isn't a seasonal thing or a certain body or eating certain food, it's eating REAL food that our body needs, enjoying treats once in a while and staying active. Its not hard. You dont have to count anything or compare yourself to others! Dear TCA family,
It is with mixed feelings but clarity that I share with you that I will not be continuing as a coach at TCA. Thank you for sharing your presence and growthful moments with me, and thank you most of all for your continued friendship. I will finish at the end of this month. You should know that the way you all received me in the beginning, with playfulness and compassion, is what makes it most difficult for me to say goodbye to my role as “coach.” I will be leaving for Bali in late September to help the Contentment Foundation establish an NGO. There, I will participate in bringing our well-being curriculum (that I helped create) to K-8 schools. The Foundation‘s hopes include a physical building with recycling infrastructure and a functional fitness facility.
