Finally back squatting a whopping 40kg! In all honestly I'm not that fussed as I can use this time as I build back up to decent weight to crack down on my low bar technique!

I'll be keeping the volume and frequency super low for the next few weeks (6-8 sets spread across two days) just to be safe. Will I gain anything from this low volume/frequency? No. All this will be working is my motor pattern and mobility but the fact that I can now get under a bar is more than enough for now!

Happy flex Friday. Had and awesome work out as always after work. Hit traps and delts along with cardio.still got a long way to go but always happy at the gym.i hope someone gets motivated by my story.  Im a trucker, dad snd boyfriend. I split my time between thos 3 and me. My son has Cancer and iv been hit by a truck so i have a slight disability  on my left leg. I could have 100 excuses as to y i cant hit the gym or follow my fitness dreams. But i use it all as a motivation or a reason do hot even harder. Thats just me. If i can do it you can too. Anyone can. I was over 315 lbs and s size 48 in pants, currently im at 284lbs and a 38 in pants almost a 36 in pants but my thighs are a little big. So stay positive and motivated and be consistent

WORKING AROUND INJURY 
The past couple of weeks I've had a nagging left elbow that has been playing havoc with my squats. The alternative to work around this would be to replace my normal squats to safety bar squats. Using the Safety Bar is a great alternative to work around these kinds of problems while still being able to get your volume in. 
Today's top set of squats was 2x5@145kg
Was programmed to do 4 sets of 5 but my elbow wasn't having it today.
Overall happy with how squats are going. Still need to work on keeping my knees out and chest up. Other than that happy with how the new technique is coming along 👊🏻

Warm ups were smooth and tight just lost my bar path on the way up on the third rep. 😔😔 After this I went down hill mentally and lost confidence so my bench went to 💩💩 Thanks to @redbeardlifting for saving me.. will come back stronger next week and own this weight 👊👊

For new trainees, it is the common belief that you have to just inhale on the negative and exhale on the positive. Which is not the case for the big 3 lifts at least.

Valsalva maneuver is actually pretty safe. It does have potential risks (elevated blood pressure and slower heart rate, although temporary)

What I love about barbell training:

I can get done in one exercise with just a few sets what it will take those who avoid the barbell many sets and exercises to attain and still not get fhe same effect.

Bang for your back plus it grows my resolve.

Effective and efficient, you also learn alot about yourself getting crushed by a barbell. Nut sack training.

Also the carry over effect. Barbell squatting makes relatively everything else stronger.

I can inflict the most damage with a loaded blade🔪

365 and 385 for 8 sets of dubs with a 405 single after the 8 sets.

Today’s thirsty Thursday is a great way to make your protein shake a bit more refreshing.

We constantly hear, “eat more protein” which is very true and we stand by that!

But the harsh truth is we sometimes find our selves having to drink protein that always taste the same.

Well why not make it into a nice smoothie to make it refreshing and nutritious.

Try this next time for a good source of pre-workout carbs and protein .

It’s easy to do.

STEPS:
Put a cup of cubed ice into a cup
Put your choice of almond milk for added sweetness 
Put your choice of protein powder (I put two scoops for added flavor)
Add 12 Grams of PB fit for some deliciousness 
Mix for 9-10 seconds in a blender

Tweaked some form issues and feel way more comfortable and stable... minus my balance 😆 I’m assuming that’s one I just figure out?? Halp? Worked up to 243lbs/110.45kg x 6 - split into ✌🏻 vids so you can laugh at me, too.

It’s been challenging and I’ve definitely let my diet and training slip a little while I’m adjusting to my new schedule! We slayed a great back and shoulder workout tonight though and I’m excited to be pushing myself over the next 8 weeks and see if I can get back on the platform, then back on the stage!

On the right I have terrible light, I’m pushing out my stomach, I have bad posture, and a bad angle for a photo. If I was selling you something I could use the right photo as a before picture even though it was taken weeks after the left photo. Moral of the story: Don’t believe everything on the internet and be careful who you give your money too. They are probably running a scam. #themoreyouknow
