Did you know I give pottery experiences from my home studio in Oxfordshire?
I give individual and couple experiences which create memories (and a pot!) that’ll last a lifetime.
So if you’ve ever wanted to get your hands on some clay and have a go at throwing, please get in touch! Gift cards are also available if you’d like to buy one someone for Christmas ✨
More information can be found on my website at; www.FICHceramics.co.uk 😘 swipe to see some lovely reviews from my students 💕
I just found out an entire shipment of pottery somehow vanished from my most recent @fedex shipment. Their best explanation is that they have no explanation. To say I am bummed out is an understatement. If anyone finds a box of speckled beauties somewhere in the western US please let me know 😭😡😭
Loading my second, and hopefully last, test batch for the @hideawayparkbrewery mug club today. Making sure all my measurements are just right. This isn't going to be the stamp that we use, but it's close, don't want to give too much away too soon. Check their instagram for more info on how to get in the mug club this year. There are 2 dates with only 50 mugs available each day, so you'll definitely want to get there early. @mcnamee_made
And I will be making the mugs so 50 from each of us.
A lovely simplistic photograph of two speckled planters. I'm currently in the studio preparing for some colourful things underway, happy happy times!
I'm also making some Christmas decorations (sorry for the dreaded festive word), but gotta start early when it comes to ceramics especially!
The planter on the left sold last weekend, but you can find the other on my Etsy!
Upon looking further at this picture, I realized the sharp end to one of those tools is missing... which immediately worries me that it might be amidst all of the reclaimed clay that is waiting to be wedged by hand 😩. Really hoping this is not the case and that I don’t puncture my hands with any more sharp objects. Other potters out there will be able to relate. (📷: @tsalazar)

This is what our brilliant planet was doing this morning when I arrived to work— puddles bending shimmering light beams through space and under rooflines — to illuminate my sculpture for me. .

I glazed this little one with celadon but the wood-firing kiln decided to sprinkle it with mini crystals that are totally gorgeous and unexpected. Another example of why people love wood-fired works. ❤️
