Our little aloe garden. ~ The center island needed some green...but it had to be something that wouldn’t be too tempting for our cats, one of which is a jerk and continues to try and poison himself on a regular basis. ~ This fit the bill.
The new growth on my #paddleplant is covered with farina (epicuticular wax) because he sits in a SW facing window. I prefer him like this anyway😏 Also the new leaves are half pink and it’s too cute ➡️ scroll to see them🤗

Propagating your Chlorophytum comosum 🌱 or 'spider plant'.
These super easy to keep plants are excellent as gifts or to make your own jungle! and here's how to propagate from your own plant! (swipe left for video!) All you need is said plant, sharp scissors or secateurs and a CLEAN container with CLEAN water (excuse mine I was making a quick video for a friend).
1, Choose as many plantlets as you desire, the bigger the better, however they can be smaller than those shown on the video.
2, Cut them from the stem as close to the plantlet as possible.
3, Place the bottom of the plantlet in water not covering too much of the foliage.
4, Check on your cuttings every week to make sure the water is clean and if there are sufficient roots - if so plant them into compost!
If your plantlets already have roots growing you can skip the water stage and plant straight into your desired pots!
Short on surface area? Hang a plant in front of a window and take your home decor to a new level — literally. Make sure to think about how the plant will look from below (depending on how high you plan to hang it) and choose something that's not too fussy, because you don't want to have to climb on top of a chair to water it every day. Insider tip: Use Opus Grows Mix #2 , which helps retain moisture, for an even lower-maintenance hanging plant.
