I made these chickpea and veggie burgers about a week ago, and throughout the week I’ve been trying to get a good picture of them to post, but that just didn’t really happen so here they are. 🔆 I used 5 cups of chickpeas and an equal amount of veggies. The veggies I used were carrots, cucumber, and celery, but you can use pretty much anything. I chopped the veggies super small and put everything in a blender (a food processor would work better.) I had to add a splash of water but that really depends on how you process them and the type of vegetables used. I loved having these around all week and can’t wait to make them again! 🥒🥕🍔😁🍴
Food Diary! What I eat when I have time to prep meals at home ⬇️ Included recipe for the Turkey Feta Burgers also - This is from a lower carb rest day!
◾Breakfast 1100 AM - Multi grain rye toast with an egg 🍳 + 1/2 an avocado, 🥑 grape tomatoes and yellow bell peppers
◾Lunch 100 PM - Turkey Feta Burger with turmeric lemon rice, 🍋 micro greens & hot banana peppers + tzatziki sauce when serving
◾Snack 300 PM - Roasted pepper and paprika hummus from @preschoice + veggies 🥕with spicy pickled beans & almonds
◾Dinner 700 PM - Shrimp and sriracha chicken salad 🥗 with zoodles, beets, carrots, cucumber, celery + greens. Had with olive oil, white balsamic & honey dijon dressing
Turkey Feta Burgers - 2 lbs extra lean ground turkey, 1/2 cup feta cheese, 1 large egg, 1/3 cup panko crumbs, 1 tsp pink Himalayan salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp onion powder. Make into 8 patties then grill until they reach 165 F with meat thermometer. Macros per burger 🍔 171 Cals/3.5 Carbs/4.9 Fat/26.8 Protein

Its always a good thing seeing a community make steps towards the health and fitness of its citizens. My town just put up this public fitness court and I love it.
This is monumental step to me because it puts fitness in the public eye as compared to secluding it to the inside of gyms.

Slightly different post today... maybe it’s because I was inspired by my sister’s account @blossominsoul or maybe it’s because I have a toe nail injury and my workouts these days are pretty boring... regardless the reason why, here is the recipe to my absolute favourite post workout meal: PROTEIN PANCAKES! I made it up, but it works magically!
▪️1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
▪️1/3 cup oats
▪️1 scoop protein
▪️Cook on a non-stick pan with a small amount of oil at the beginning only
▪️This yields 6 small pancakes for around 385 calories 37gC/35gP/9gF
▪️Top off with sirop and more fruit as desired and enjoy! 👅🍌🥞
