But, her results soon plateaued. She realized there had to be something better suited to her goals.

In her own words, Elizabeth explains: “I was working out at OrangeTheory prior to starting at Capital Strength. Although OrangeTheory kept me in shape, it really wasn't giving me the results I desired. I really wanted to build muscle and tone, which is why the Capital Strength Transformation Challenge appealed to me.” At first, Elizabeth was a little skeptical. She had never worked with a coach or lifted weights before. She told us “I never worked with a Personal Trainer...I’ve always been interested in strength training, but I was most skeptical about the workouts. I was unsure of what to expect so I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it (BUT I was so wrong, I LOVE it!)” Now she’s kicking butt and feeling great! Unfortunately, losing weight and lowering your body fat is the the best way to get the veins to pop. Veins are largely genetic and have a lot to do with your body fat distribution.  Specific exercises don’t get you veins, but a hypertrophy high volume training style will yield them faster as opposed to a strength focus. It still takes years of training, but chasing the pump will help them pop.

I get asked this question a lot because of my arm/leg veins. My years of high volume training combined with my genetics allow them to show at a higher body fat percentage. I hold all my weight in my midsection. A lot of people get abs veins when they start dieting. I’ve never seen ab veins in my life.

To enhance the pump, try adding sodium to your pre-workout meal. Also, get in a good amount of carbs in the diet to help fill out the muscles with glycogen. Lastly, a pre-workout with ingredients like Citrulline will help as well.

Most importantly stay consistent in the gym and keep grinding! Eventually a new vein will pop out which you have never seen! Always feels great when this happens.

Lunch today 😍😍 Lunch so far is my post workout meal and I am absolutely loving it that way. I have never eaten a more balanced assortment and really concentrated on exactly what exactly I am putting into my body. Lunch has always been a quick grab and go.

Today I had pork tenderloin that we crock potted on Sunday (doing this every week now 😋), zoodles, and brown rice/quinoa mix. 
Now time to get some cleaning done around the house and my car. So thankful to have parents who are retired who will watch P for me! Hope your having a good Tuesday!!

Taken today after the gym and a bomb ass peanut butter🥜 banana 🍌protein smoothie.💪🏾 I've been going pretty hard in the gym. I haven't really done an ab routine. It's usually an after thought🤫😕I probably get a routine in once a month for them lol 😂 But I do utilize my core in all my exercises. My cardio usually consist of 15 mins on the bicycle and I usually average 5 miles a day. I am currently weighing in at 199lbs. I unintentionally lost 9lbs. Was low key bummed a lil bit but I'm going say it was fat and water weight. Why as a society do we see eating as such a bad thing ⁉️ When it comes to eating we as a society have a moral for what is right to eat and what is wrong to eat. Foods that contain healthy nutrients, high protein levels, low fats and low carbohydrates are seen as righteous, good food choices 👍🏻. Food products that are deemed as ‘treats’ and full of sugars are seen as sinful choices👎🏻. How, when and where did this moral around food come from❓Its such an unhealthy moral to have which can impact our mindset and our realtionship with food. 
Next time, you find yourself telling others that your drinking or eating a sugar filled product because you are ashamed and embarrassed of eating such a ‘shameful’ product stop 🛑. Next time you find yourself apologising for looking at the dessert menu because it’s a little bit naughty, stop 🛑 . Next time you find yourself indulging in the comfort of your duvet as you feel to embarrassed to do it in front of others, stop 🛑. I spent many years doing each of the above and all that happened was I fell into an unhealthy relationship with food ❌. I was embarrassed and ashamed to enjoy food, I avoided as much as I could after a few months/years of doing this I became scared of food. Embracing and eating all types of foods builds a happy realtionship with not only food but also yourself 🙃. Let’s ditch the social morals that revolve around food 👋🏼. I mean, it’s a good damn necessity to living, not only is it a necessity it’s also an enjoyment, a pleasure! Make a kind decision to yourself, your mind and body. Eat what your body wants and your mind needs and ENJOY ✨ .
