A note to the new mama 🤱🏻 You may not recognise your own body anymore, but you need to give it time.
It’s possible you’ll still look pregnant weeks after birth, this is normal.
Your belly button will look the way it used to, eventually.
Your body may have made some permanent physical changes, embrace them.
You may lose a lot of hair in the first few months, don’t panic it’s a normal phase.
Your hormones are adjusting themselves, there will be high, lows and probably tears.
You may get the baby blues or postpartum depression, know that this is okay and ask for help and support, you’re not alone.
Your breastfeeding journey (if you do) may not be as easy as you expected, don’t beat yourself up and it will take time.
You may bleed for weeks after giving birth, like a big pain in the ass period.
You need to increase you fiber intake... just trust us on this one!
You may sweat a lot and feel like you’re in a constant heat wave in the first few days, thank you hormones.
You may have permanent scars on your body, these are simply reminders of how strong our amazing bodies are, learn to love them.

I started this journey two weeks after giving birth to my second child. I was overweight my entire pregnancy, I gained 30 pounds during the 9 months, and sadly that led me to complications during my labor. .

The day I gave birth was the day I decided I wanted to change. I had enough of my excuses! I was a mom of two kids with barely any energy to want to do anything for or with them. I seen all these Fit moms on Instagram doing activities with their kids and I desperately wanted that to be me.

Wenn ich nicht weiß welches Bild ich posten soll, lande ich immer bei einem Handstandbild🙈 Ich weiß nicht wie viele Handstandbilder es mitlerweile von mir gibt, aber ich glaube mehr als "normale" 🤣 Ich finde immer eins auf meinem Handy und irgendwie gehört er einfach zu mir dazu. Ich mache wirklich jeden Tag Handstände. Meistens zwischendurch, ohne dass ich groß darüber nachdenke. Ich denke das ist für mich eine Art um Stress abzubauen, runter zu kommen, zu mir zu finden und vllt. hilft es mir manchmal  symbolisch die Dinge aus einer anderen Perspektive zu betrachten. Vllt ist es ein Tick, eine Sucht, was auch immer...Auf jeden Fall tut es mir gut🤗. Was macht ihr, um zwischendurch den Kopf wieder frei zu bekommen?

Tried something new today. 
I took my first @orangetheory class. 
I had a lot of fun and will definitely be doing it again. Today was also the first time I ran/jogged/sprinted since having Dominick and it went well. Well as well as it could go for not having done any running in that time. I was super careful and aware of how my body felt but it felt so great to break a sweat and do something out of my comfort Zone. I’m looking forward on progressing and continuing to push myself.

My mom got me flowers on my first day back to work. She’s so amazing and it will definitely be good to see that reminder to bring home the milk! - 
Real talk: I have cried today. This morning was rough. Walking downstairs before Little P woke up, without nursing or snuggling her was one of the most difficult things ever. I stood in the bedroom doorway thinking to myself, “What in the he** am I doing?!” and found it so hard to take the first step down the stairs. -
I know this will be a struggle and that a lot of moms (and dads) struggle with finding a work/kids balance, but I have the best role model ever. My mom has always worked her butt off to give us a happy life. The best way I know to say thank you for everything is to take her example she set and apply the same methods to my kids. So that means, no matter how stinking hard it is, today I’m going back to work so that my little ones can have a happy life too. -

Weigh in Monday 🎃 No loss, no gain. I'm not surprised at all and Im very happy to not see a +! It was a tough week. I had my 6 week pp check last Tuesday and my body has been going through some crazy changes. I opted to try a birth control method that I've never used before and I absolutely hate it so far. On the 2nd day after starting it, I became EXTREMELY hungry. I want to eat everything. I've never been a huge snacker (even during pregnancy) and its all I want to do. So on top of this, we spent all weekend out as a family doing stuff, which spiraled into eating out 4 times. Tried to make the best choices but sometimes its hard, especially when you feel like your dying from starvation (thanks crazy hormones). I seen my doctor today and I agreed I would give this method 1 month, and if the hunger doesn't stop, I'm not going to continue. I seriously have never been this hungry my entire life. I can eat a full meal and still feel hungry afterwards. That satisfied feeling is never there anymore. And I won't do this to myself! So, we shall see how this next month goes! Weigh in Monday 🎃 No loss, no gain. I'm not surprised at all and Im very happy to not see a +! It was a tough week. I had my 6 week pp check last Tuesday and my body has been going through some crazy changes. I opted to try a birth control method that I've never used before and I absolutely hate it so far. On the 2nd day after starting it, I became EXTREMELY hungry. I want to eat everything. I've never been a huge snacker (even during pregnancy) and its all I want to do. So on top of this, we spent all weekend out as a family doing stuff, which spiraled into eating out 4 times. Tried to make the best choices but sometimes its hard, especially when you feel like your dying from starvation (thanks crazy hormones). Relationships after baby

After baby is born, it’s not uncommon that your relationship takes a back seat. If you have birthed a baby, your body has undergone a huge transformation. We are tired, exhausted, and filled with a gamut of emotions. Our time that we once had to ourselves is now spread thin.

How do we cultivate and nurture our relationship? Is a weekly/monthly date night the answer?

I do think date nights are important, but I don’t think they’re the solution.

First, before cultivating a relationship with others we must understand our needs. We must know and deeply love ourselves.

Second, connecting with our partner from a space of compassion and non-judgment.

Relationships consist of two people, who are not only dedicated toward one another but who have the courage to be vulnerable and open. To express and feel safe. To share hopes, dreams and goals. A place where we can feel safe when we are not our best but also our best. Our whole and complete self.

It feels so good to get back into a routine, and back to my workouts. Nothing compares to the feeling I get after a great workout, the increased energy and the sense of accomplishment.

Now to enjoy one of my prepped meals and to get ready to go back to work tonight, for the first time in 2 weeks 🙁

Most of us have never had healthy conflict modeled well for us. Rupture/hurt/conflict is inevitable when we are showing up in relationships—to our kids, to our partners, to our family, to our friends—often we are paralyzed at the point of rupture, never able to get to repair. This can happen on even the most micro level with infants—mom leaves for a moment and the infant brain, unable to comprehend return, experiences rupture. And then mom returns, and the infant is soothed. It continues to happen in the mother-child dyad throughout development, and one thing is certain, it’s the consistency of return that soothes, the repair that matters and creates deeper intimacy and trust. My toddler and I experience this cycle daily, hourly, and I have to remind myself, that this is what relationships are made of, inevitable rupture and the hope of repair and if modeled well this can help her navigate her own healthy ones in the future. I say it to myself over and over, rupture and repair. Rupture and repair. Rupture, and repair. 💛

Heute gab es die Reste von gestern und soll ich euch was sagen,... es war noch leckerer. Klar, das Bild sieht etwas lahm aus. Es fehlt einfach die Farbe und ich hatte auch so mega Hunger, sodass das Foto schnell gehen musste. Hierzu inspiriert hat mich @biancazapatka mit ihren veganen Quesadillas.

REZEPT:
500gramm Spinat
1 Zwiebel
4 Knoblauchzehen 
250ml Mandelmilch 
Salz, Pfeffer, Paprika edelsüß
6-8 Wraps 
Feta oder veganen Streukäse
Kokosöl
Kokosblütenzucker

Zuerst die Zwiebeln anbraten, dann den frischen Spinat dazugeben. Die Knoblauchzehen pressen und ab in die Spinatpfanne damit. Alles  würzen und mit Mandelmilch verfeinern und letztlich pürriert ihr alles. Wenn es euch nun noch zu bitter ist, könnt ihr dies mit etwas Kokosblütenzucker neutralisieren. Dann die Wraps damit bestreichen, Feta darauf zerkrümmeln und zuklappen. Optional Hähnchenbrustfilet oder Lachs darauf legen (muss beides gar sein). Die Pfanne mit Kokosfett einstreichen (weniger ist mehr) und die Quesadillas von beiden Seiten knusprig anbraten. Tonight’s dinner was super easy and super yummy! Salmon with peas and broccoli and that’s it 🤗 My Monday got me like a truck again 🤪 baby was awake and cranky yesterday from 2 am until 3.30 and that got a super tired mom 👀😭 but with grace and patience I still managed to do ok at the hospital and hopefully did not forget anything crucial 😌👩🏻‍⚕️ 🚑 I left one hour later than my shift but that is fine, I still got to snuggle my little boy. (Best decision ever 💰💻) I didn’t wanna have to go back to working full-time 9-5, doing something I didn’t even care for, and barely get time with my baby. I love this business and this JOB.
