I feel like I share a lot of my life through visual representations / in at heart I’m a writer. Which is why I question sharing this aspect of my life , it is the truest, purest form of me. Here I am. Take me or leave me. •
What this poem represents to me is how we as individuals get caught up in the expectations of others. How it’s important to step back and acknowledge that nobody in your life makes you feel any type of way.
You are truly in control. You decide who you love, dislike who makes you feel pain, happiness, YOU REACT TO OTHERS. Nobody hurt you.
Check your expectations, step back and check out how you REACT to other individuals. “The second I feel misplaced is the moment I misplaced myself”
I’ll be uploading a visual representation of this poem ( slowed down ) which will be uploaded to my Youtube channel.
Stay tuned // Stay Loving.
“I’ve been at the mercy of men just following orders. Never again.”-Erik Lehnsherr 🐺🐾 🐺
Lack of confidence results in inaction and not standing up for oneself. It results in missed chances and setting the bar too low. Believing in yourself is what allows you to rise up and reach your potential.
Confidence In Yourself:
When I speak of confidence, I am not talking about blind arrogance. Those that are overly confident fall into yet another category. However, I am referring to the self-confidence needed to believe in one’s own skills, goals, and ability to succeed. When you believe in yourself you are more likely to take action. To stand up and seize the moment. And to persevere long after those who doubt themselves.
Reasons That Self-Confidence Leads to Success: *The Drive to Start Things – Confident people start things. They are not shy about striking out on a new idea even when those around them are still pondering it. *The Ability to Stand Up for Oneself – Confidence allows you to stand up for yourself in a fair and consistent manner. Otherwise, you may find yourself unheard or unfairly treated. *The Ability to Say No – Confident people have the ability to say “No” where appropriate. They do not take on unnecessary or inappropriate work or obligations. *The Ability to Say Yes – And at the same time, confident individuals say “Yes” to opportunity. They do not miss new options because they are shy. I have seen individuals’ pass up opportunities because they didn’t think they were “worthy.” *Confidence Overcomes Fear – Lack of confidence can lead to paralysis from fear. Fear of failure. Fear of what others think. Fear of the unknown. To succeed, you need the confidence to face and overcome your fears. ·@ianmckellen
🐺The Lone Wolf Mentality.
The lone wolf lives by the belief that they have to do life alone...that no one truly has their back...that everyone is just in it for themselves.
As an animal, a lone wolf is a wolf that lives independently rather than with others as a member of a pack. Lone wolves are typically stronger, more aggressive and far more dangerous than the average wolf that is actually a member of a pack.
As a person, a lone wolf is an individual who prefers solitude, expresses introversion, or prefers to work alone.
In literature, lone wolves are aloof and emotionally unable or unwilling to directly interact with other characters in the story. A stereotypical lone wolf will be dark or serious in personality; they are often taciturn and distinguished by their reserved nature. *A lone wolf often has undergone some emotional trauma which separates them from the crowd.
Lone wolf of the group:
A similar concept is the lone wolf of a particular group, who spends enough time with a group to be considered a member but not enough time to be very close to the other members. Such people tend to not take part in the group activities or "get-togethers". Part of this concept arises from the fact that the lone wolf has been pushed away from the group but still has a very strong bond to the "pack".🐺
Well it definitely wasn't easy but I managed to get a picture of him. His name is Sgt. Aubrey D. Bell. He was only 33 at the time of his death. On the morning of 10.27.03 he was sitting at the front desk near the main entrance of the Al Bayra police station in Baghdad. A suicide bomber disguised as an Iraqi policeman driving a fake police vehicle was allowed entry onto the compound. The driver began to accelerate towards the main entrance of the police station. By the time the guards at the gate realized it was a set up and began chasing, it was much too late. Once the bomber got within range of the front door with the vehicle he detonated himself launching the vehicle directly into the air and virtually ripping the face off the building. The engine from the vehicle was sent through the station entrance directly where Sgt. Bell was sitting. Some of the other soldiers upstairs were knocked down and unconscious by the explosion. Others were hit by flying glass, debris, vehicle parts, sharpnel, etc. Another soldier (Sgt. Ross) lost his right ear. Combat medics tried to save Sgt. Bell but his injuries were far beyond comprehension from being so close to the explosion. It wasn't good at all. There was nothing they could do. If this wasn't enough we were spread out across the city and attacked by small arms fire at those locations as well. A lot of injuries but this was the only casualty that day. I'm trying to find a pic of what was left of the building and Saddam's palace but have yet to do so. The events of that day completely changed our mission. He was a good man, friend, father and soldier that put his life on the line for his country. He was loved and respected by us all in the company...even more so now. Unfortunately he is just one of many. Rest easy Sgt. You will be missed. 🌹
"A man should look as if he has bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care and then forgotten all about them." - Hardy Amies
✳Basic Fashion Tips
✳Art of Dressing
“To achieve the nonchalance which is absolutely necessary for a man, one article at least must not match. For instance, you can wear a dark blue suit and tie with a pale blue shirt and navy blue socks, but you must then have a patterned silk handkerchief say in dark red or a paisley design. Or stick to blue and have dark red socks.” 🎩👔
"A correctly cut cap or hat in a check cloth of a clear, clean pattern can add a dash to an otherwise sombre country outfit." 👚
✳Care of Clothes
"First and foremost, let your clothes rest and revive. Do not wear a suit or shoes two days running. Both cloth and leather need time to breathe. Remember every time you sit down you are ironing a suit in the wrong places."
🎩👔 ✳ Grooming
"I do not think there exists a woman who does not like a man to smell nice; by nice she means a smell which is as far removed as possible from the kind of scent she uses herself; something clean and herby is required." 🎩👔
"They have an air of masculine superiority softened with an almost feminine grace which has proved successful in the great game of sexual attraction." "You must look perfectly happy and relaxed in your clothes which must appear part of you rather than a wardrobe you have donned" — Hardy Amies
✳Was slightly feeling myself at the moment. Literally lol.
