This is simple, I don't care what kind of person you are, you're lying to yourself if you believe you can be happy in a dirty, cluttered, disgusting space.
Sometimes when life gets chaotic our environment tends to reflect how we feel internally. This happens a lot when we're feeling depressed and insecure, our space gets cluttered, clothes everywhere, we've pushed off cleaning for a few days. It's not pretty.
If you're feeling stuck, anxious, low and/or insecure, I encourage you to #cleanseyourspace -- I guarantee the 10-15 minutes you spend cleaning up a room, organizing things and/or tossing out things you don't need anymore will make you feel a little better. It may also motivate you enough to keep pushing and cleaning up other areas of your environment.
Studies show having a clean, relaxing space will increase happy content feelings and provoke positive reflection on what kind of day you want to have. Also actively cleaning gets you moving and increases those endorphins! Since 2011 I’ve instilled the habit of writing down everything I wanted out of life. Goals, new projects, new experiences, reading new books, what I wanted for my family & friends, success, and fulfillment. I always felt like if I wrote them down I can crystallize them into the Universe. Since then I’ve been checking things off the list nonstop. Sometimes it’s hard to get past a certain problem in your life. It could seem impossible to solve. The BEST way to solve any problems in your life is to focus on the solution and not the problem itself. Continuing to focus on the problem literally does nothing but create more problems. Once you start to focus on a solution to the problem, that is when you actually solve the problem itself.
Don’t focus on the problems you may “think” you have with your body image or your self, focus on how you can make yourself better little by little, day by day and I can assure you that you can solve all of life’s toughest problems 💕 #liveyourbestlife#positivethoughts
Deep for a Sunday night ....warning alert! THE POWER OF THOUGHT......I love pilates, I love spinning, I love running. I love the challenges they present to me. Even after 10 years of teaching, pilates shows me new ways of to test myself physically and mentally and if it didn’t I couldn’t enjoy it still to this day. As I always say it’s maintainance not a quick fix. It’s a slow process that you grow as a person with. But boy are the results amazing and I thank god for it each day! This week I have looked at the power of thought and what we as individuals allow our bodies to do. How far do we? Can we? push ourselves? and how much is it in our heads in what we allow our bodies to do? Isn’t it amazing to think that we can possibly open our brains even more to allow ourselves to work harder? And explore more? Achieve more? How much of what is for example going on out of our place of exercise (so daily life) effects how we perform when we are working hard on our bodies and minds when we are working out? And how amazing is exercise for the mind? I truly believe the 2 work hand in hand. And are we our only limits? Can we work harder? Can we become stronger than we believe ?? Can we switch on more than ever thought possible? What can you do this week to challenge yourself? Physically and or mentally? Yes this is deep for a Saturday evening ! But it’s ok 👌😛 you know why? Our thoughts can be the most toxic things in the world at times.
Especially if we hold on to them... They keep going around and around... A small problem will actually grow in to a colossal problem if it is left to fester in our minds for to long.
Our thoughts keep us awake at night and deprive us off the rest we must have, which in turn makes us more tired and irritable, which in turn makes our perception of problems greater.
Our thoughts keep us locked away from friends and family, because we don't feel that we can talk about them... We have a fear that our friends and family will either judge us or trivialise our problems, perhaps they won't understand what we are worrying about or we will not want to bother them with our problems... So we hide away in our own head space... I too have been in this situation, but now I have the skills, courage and behavioural flexibility to manage this.
