Tears ran down my face as words cannot express the overwhelming joy and gratitude I have. Yesterday I woke to great news about my rescue boy making the LVPD force.
His story hit the Las Vegas news channels after I gave him up as a pet to be evaluated to have a new life with a job as a working horse for the LVPD.
The LVPD said it’s a 20% chance that donated horses work out, Expecially a rescued horse as it lowers their chances on being able to handle their tests of stability.
Hearing that alone, it was remarkable to hear that passed every test with flying colors! I had always known he had big plans and a meaningful purpose for his future. He is not like any horse I had ever met!
I rescued Dino from a kill pen a little over two years ago on impulse and complete random as he popped up on my screen scrolling through the newsfeed. Something told me to rescue him ASAP And I had no idea how big he truly was until I met him in person.
The emotions behind my urging actions were indescribable as I paid to pull him, transport, get him to NorCal.
However, I felt it was time to let him go down a new road much bigger than what I could offer.
He taught students in my workshops how to recognize their emotions and hugely showed people including myself, many lessons about life. This guy was firm and clear when he would communicate. His purpose with me had been complete.... or at least I thought so.
His journey had him head to Las Vegas to be fostered at my friends place at @ Petting Zoo 2 You when my life had some major spins and had to place him elsewhere.
A friend in Vegas offered an opportunity to get him on the force.
It’s been a long 3 months of anticipation and he passed all of their tests with flying colors!
His journey is a big miracle. If you have a moment to watch the video on Facebook Mounted LVPD , you can see how proud Dino is to embrace his next chapter.
Forever grateful to have been the bridge to what you were destined for and for the lessons you taught me from the moment we met into now.
