For me, it’s not about exercise becoming easier. It’s about becoming stronger so I can kick ass the second, third (and so on) time I do a workout.
Day 1 I remember being terrified of my first workout program. I got up, got dressed, walked into my living room (aka my gym) and pushed play. It was ROUGH, but I loved knowing that I was being challenged. More importantly, I knew I’d never get bored with all the different program options at my fingertips.
Fast forward to 6 months later. I’ve completed a handful of programs. It’s STILL hard, but I’m no longer scared to push play. Yes, the exercises are easier as I’ve gained strength and flexibility. The cardio isn’t as “deathly” as my endurance has gotten better.
I remember thinking to my self earlier today during my leg workout “Damn I’m sweating bullets this is gross!” and it made me happy! I don’t ever want my workout to be easy!
