A Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans) from a walk in the Royal national park the other week.
Next week i will be leaving Sydney and moving to Canada, passing through America on the way. As excited as i am it upset me to be leaving Australia. I haven’t travel much or photographed as many animals as i’d of liked too. Australia has animals which you can’t find anywhere else and you forget that when you live here, I hope nothing changes in the next year or two, No more loss of habitats, No more coral bleaching. I really hope.
🔈Sound on! 🔈White-winged Choughs are such characters, and so communal as they forage in these large family groups! I managed to record a quick snippet of handheld video when an adult Chough found something to eat. All of the young Choughs came running over, begging to be fed but as you can see, they are perfectly capable of feeding themselves.
A Nothern Waterthrush striking an interesting pose. As this guy decided to switch positions and turn to face in my direction it either lost its balance or the wind threw it off balance causing it to raise its tail feathers and butt in the air to regain its balance. #opcmag#sharecangeo#songbird#wildlife_inspired
