Sometimes less is more. Yesterday’s wedding floral design was centered on a variety of seasonal greenery in shades from emerald to silver. A few white flowers and some texture from grasses and heather and they turned out to be one of my favorite designs this summer! •••
High five for an awesome weekend! 🙌
It has been busy, productive, nostalgic, and so much more for me this weekend and I’m loving every second of it. 🤗 This candid capture was such a fun moment right before they all got dressed. The bride and her bridesmaids flew in from Spain for the wedding, so one can only imagine the European charm dancing around every detail of their day - this moment included! 🎉✨
Two gorgeous friends of our tied the knot yesterday & I had the honor of capturing this big moment for them! Their love for one another is so strong! Cheers to middle school sweethearts (literally) sealing the deal yesterday! Y’all were stunning!
On Friday I flew to Philadelphia for the weekend, got to my hotel room, ordered food and watched Netflix + chilled for the first time in months. Seriously. I haven’t sat down by myself and watched a movie in weeks, and it felt so good ✌🏼
Walking into the week with and open heart and excitement!
My makeup trial and hair trial for my own wedding is tomorrow and I can’t believe the days are down to double digits and less than 50 days! It’s been a two year engagement and it’s surreal that it’s almost here! If you have any advice for all the soon-to-be brides, tell me in the comments below! 👰🏻
So guys I asked and you answered so here I go showing you the image to yesterday’s story. The first time I’ve been to that location, Jan was trail running up these mountains that you see on the right side of the image, so while he was busy being totally crazy I got a chance to scout the location. From the second that I saw that stone I had this image in my mind and when Elena & Peter decided to have their photos taken here, I knew I had to do it with them. The small stones they had to wander on to get to the rock where so slippery that I prayed they don’t hurt themselves but luckily they didn’t and the image turned out exactly the way I had it pictures in my mind. Would you guys be adventurous and experimental on your couples shoot as well?
Happy 1️⃣ year anniversary sweet man of mine! Thanks for being the person who stands behind me while I swing for the fences 🏏 AND the person who reminds me to slow my roll for a kiss every once in awhile. 💋 You bring balance and joy to my world and I am better every day for your partnership. I love you forever, in this meat suit and beyond. 👫🚀
A little reflection this Sunday before I turn off my phone and pamper myself (post wedding tradition is massage/pedicure). As a little girl I didn’t dream about my own wedding day. For me, it was always about the right person, our home and family together. I never imagined being a Coordinator. I wanted to work in healthcare. I decided to work a full time job coordinating on top of my full time job in healthcare as an outlet to awaken and utilize the other side of me sometimes suppressed by a desk job. I’m organized, OCD, punctual and of course love to plan but there’s more to being a Coordinator. I’ve worked various jobs and have been privileged with a vast variety of experiences and I apply those skills and lessons to my work as a Coordinator. I started babysitting when I was 12, so when a flower girl throws a tantrum, I can help calm her down. I’ve volunteered in nursing homes, so when your grandpa tries to remember his name and tell me how happy he is to be attending your wedding, I don’t mind giving him a few extra moments. I’ve worked retail jobs (Walgreens, Ann Taylor, Pottery Barn) and various waitressing jobs so I apply customer service skills, fashion tricks and styling/design tips. I was in a sorority so I see other girls as sisters and not threats. I can handle the banter from your tipsy groomsmen and keep them in check, thanks to growing up with two older brothers. I’ve traveled around the world and have a respect for all cultures and religions. I’ve been a flower girl, bridesmaid, MOH, and officiant. So when your officiant is having writers block, I can help guide them with writing your ceremony. If you need someone to look over a toast to make sure it’s appropriate, I’m your girl. I’ve stood in their shoes. I know how they’re feeling. I’m from the east coast, so I’ll speak up on your behalf, have uncomfortable conversations on your behalf, defend you, vouch for you, and always have your best interest at heart. Anybody can plan a party, but when you hire a Coordinator you’re investing in somebody who can do more than just plan. It’s in my blood and who I am.
