Gorgeous landscape. This hike has been on my bucket list for a couple of years and I finally got to do it.
What a great reward it was seeing the sunshine in the morning after a previous day of tough hiking and rainy skies.
People often stop me in the streets and ask me what kind of breed is Juno. Well, Juno is a mutt. And for me, it doesn’t matter if she’s part wolf, part lab, part Eskimo sled dog, or who knows what else runs in her blood. She is who she is, unique in her wildness and I love her no matter which breeds she is. I’m proud to say she’s a rescue. I’m proud to say she’s a mutt. And I really hope one day we can call all dogs mixed breed. Just like us. #adoptdontshop
FINALLY got my PPL as of yesterday ✈ Anybody who knows me knows how much I struggled through this, how much I was dealing with outside of just flying, how much I severely doubted myself, and how many roadblocks I came up against during the last few years, but I feel really good about how hard I've pushed myself this past year and it just goes to show that even when you lose all motivation, if you have a solid support system backing you up, it's a lot easier to keep on keeping on. Thank you to everyone who has cheered me on - I treasure you all. You've changed my life and I couldn't have done it without you. Seriously.
With the temps last two days topping at 30 degrees, it seems like summer has finally arrived in Vancouver!
Fingers crossed we get more sunny days so we can keep hiking & be rewarded with spectacular scenery like last week :) Check out @bigfoot.littlefoot for more hiking & camping pics
Thankful for this womb great Mother cradles me in. I've have found refuge in her hollow canyons and ocean waves. She has tucked me under her wings and has helped open up my eyes to the sounds her soul resonates. My heart is intertwined with hers like a ball of yarn bound and snug, and ready to unfurl for a grand purpose. #motherearth#hippy
The Garabaldi Provincial Park never disappoints. Wedgemount is a difficult hike but has a great view of a glacier and a lake with surrounding mountains. Hearing only rain and the wind was surprisingly calming during my trip. I also met some cool people that were from Whistler, Coquitlam and Quebec, too bad I didn't get any of their info. If you are interested in hiking any of the other peaks or the glacier on that hike, message me or @rescobvr.
We found a spot to hammock! First time with the hammocks out this summer. 😍❤️ First summer I’ve also felt comfortable in a bikini in my entire life. I may not be near where I want to be strength and muscle wise, but I worked hard to get where I am, and tomorrow I get to start a new program with my love and a bunch of coaches in an early access test group that will fit into my life so much easier. 4 days of 30 min workouts is all it will be. Yes it will be challenging but it’s super simple- weights and HIIT. Plus the nutrition plan also allows a cheat day! So I am looking forward to more beach and hammock days this summer with a beer and some treats and no guilt. And to think I hid myself away for years because I felt like crap. No more!
