Progress is maaaad sneaky 🐍👀 I remember feeling like I was in the best shape of my LIFE on the left, but these days I feel like I’m trying to get back into the “unbeatable” shape I was in a year ago...😅 looking at the photos it seems like it should be the opposite huh?🤔

Genuinely check in with yourself often and take realistic stock of where you are, where you want to be, and what you’re doing to get there...it seems super simple but that’s exactly why it’s so easy to overlook. As soon as one of these factors creeps off into your blind spot your entire perspective can shift without you even realizing; eventually you’re in danger of getting DIRECTLY in your own way with how you start to frame things mentally and perceive yourself & those around you⚠️✋🏽

Hurdle Hops with Lateral Slides with @c_kasl7 and @aj_burroughs22
Really love these as an additional plyometric exercise for baseball/softball athletes. They add a frontal-plane component with the lateral push/slide.
The added frontal plane component is a great way to have the athlete train within a different plane of motion. Sports performance training can sometimes focus too much on the sagittal plane (forward/backward), while athletes must consistently train within the three planes of motion: Sagittal, Frontal, and Transverse.
This plyometric exercise can be paired with a strength exercise as a complex super-set. It is also a great way to add frontal plane movement into an athlete’s program.
I recently was asked how I keep on or handle a bad workout? My best advice I can give you is: keep going. Brush that day off and keep moving each day. Not every day is going to be unicorns and rainbows. 🦄 🌈. Motivation, unfortunately won’t always be there. ❌. You have to have discipline. On days the struggle sets in, remember how far you’ve come or what your goals are ahead of you. Put one foot in front of the other 👟 and do five reps, then 10, then 15. Until the workout is done. That’s where you’ll see the most progression. Is the days the struggle tries to defeat you. That’s when you break through. That’s when goals are REACHED. YOU’VE GOT THIS! I promise you!
