Since being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Endometriosis, I’ve had a very difficult time being able to exercise without experiencing extreme pain, stiffness, and worsening fatigue. I’ve had to find Balance throughout the years to find what works for MY body and to learn just how much to push and when to rest.
Before dancing, yoga, pilates I always warm up and do stretches beforehand. This particular stretch is extremely helpful for relieving lower back and hip pain as well as pressure. It also strengthens the core. I lift my pelvis up and squeeze my bum and legs very tightly, then release and repeat. I finish my stretching with simple bends and side stretches for my back and arms.
These types of warm ups may seem insignificant but I swear they make the world of a difference if you are either new to working out or struggle with any type of disability or health condition that limits your ability to exercise.🧘🏻♀️🏋️♀️💪🏻💖
