I realized this week I’ve never featured Pistils Nursery for my #thankfulthursday#plantyplaces feature. Shame on me! Thankfully @verdurouswomen has this beautiful photo among many others to choose from. Pistils is an iconic plant shop in Portland and I pretty much stop there every time I’m in the area. If you like to drool over amazing foliage, I highly recommend it! What plants can you name in this pic? Hint, one of them is not/no longer Philodendron bipinnatifidum 😲. 🌱@pistilsnursery is listed on my Planty Places blog page, link in profile. Don’t forget to tag your photos of public plant filled spaces with #plantyplaces for your chance to be featured in my feed or stories on Thursdays! (I have some catching up to do, stay tuned for my stories later!). 📷 @verdurouswomen
This #thankfulthursday#plantyplaces takes us to the Northeastern US. Hallie @poppyandpothos took this beautiful photo at Snug Harbor Farm (@snugharborfarm). Looks like a dreamy greenhouse I would love to explore! 🤩Snug Harbor Farm is now listed on my Planty Places blog page, link in profile. Just added a dozen new places around the world! 🌍 Don’t forget to tag your photos of public plant filled spaces with #plantyplaces for your chance to be featured in my feed or stories on Thursdays! Or feel free to DM me if you have a spot to add to the list. And check out prior features over @plantyplaces 🤗. Thank you for sharing, Hallie! 📷 @poppyandpothos
@botanictonic from @thesill stopped by for another planty chat for the #bloomandgrowradio podcast- so I HAD to plantify our interview space. Can you spot the recording equipment? 🎤 ⠀
This takes #urbanjungle to the NEXT level... making a planty table to inspire our conversation on how to properly transition your plants indoors now the temps are dropping ⠀
I find that I’m dressing up different areas (office, desk, kitchen, dinner table) with plants a LOT more these days because they bring me joy and I think help me do better work.⠀
Anyone have a funny place they like to keep plants to keep them inspired?⠀
Lush dark green foliage ✔️ Long lasting white flowers ✔️ AND they let you know when they need watering by dropping their leaves 🙌🏼 The Peace Lily - A great communicator 🌿

While we were driving back to LA from the tip-top of California, we stopped in and visited with our cousins in Ukiah. As we sat down for lunch, my cousin’s 5 year old son, Nick, silenced the table to make an announcement in the cutest way possible. “Best and worst!! I’ll start” he exclaimed, and then proceeded to tell us about the best and the worst parts of his day. He then directed that we go counter clockwise around the table until everyone had their turn. I love that exercise so much, I want to do it here. I’ll start! The best part of my day so far is definitely the fact that this #alocasiaamazonica is pushing out one more leaf before winter! The worst part is the ridiculous amount of mosquito bites I have all over my body from hanging out at the botanical garden all Sunday morning. They are starting to get all swollen and offensively itchy. 😂 What has been the best and worst parts of your day?
