Chile relleno 💚
Hola amig@s ☺️, bonito martes!
It’s felt super easy to fall prey to the pressures around me this year but by my side through it I’ve had some really incredible people. One of whom recently celebrated a birthday far from home. It was a special occasion as this human is so dear to me it was an honour to be there to celebrate this day with you. —
During the day we went walking and I happened upon these little tadpoles just gently going with the flow and holding fast in a slow running, rocky waterfall. It reminded me that these moments are important and we should constantly strive to really live in these moments and not be drawn away to the past or future. Find a space in the present and live in it. 💚🌲🌱🌲🐸
extra grateful lately to have the chocolatey thing in my life, because it’s the only “fast food” that is keeping me sane around dinner time.
to think that I used to SKIP meals all day long because I was “too busy” to stop to eat anything.
no wonder I wasn’t seeing any results with my body.
it’s a known fact that you actually need to eat to lose weight.
you know what else is fucking crazy ..... this cup of chocolate superfoods is equivalent to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables.
good thing, because I’m not really a fan of eating greens.
ya feel me?
I’m just wondering - are you getting all of your servings of fruits & veggies in everyday?
I wonder if that’s part of your “problem” ...... LIVE.
Kicked off my raw challenge with a 12 mile run followed by these big ass cabbage leaves filled with a cashew based mock chicken salad. Thanks to @lynnhouse555 for spearheading this raw challenge and providing such delicious recipes. She is one of the strongest, most badass people I know and also one of the kindest and most generous. Hop on over to her Instgram page to be totally inspired, and check her out on Facebook by searching for Coach House, or at her website bekindlivewell.com to see what she is about and the different food challenges and personal training she offers.
To be clear, this recipe one hundred percent did not call for using cabbage leaves specifically but they were the only large leafed items in my fridge and wow I mean, what a wrap. 10/10 would recommend.
Released from captivity aka our unit. Living out here gives this sense of feeling raw and free. The goal is to have our home as self sufficient as possible. Food, water and energy coming straight from our own backyard. 🌱🌳🌞💧

I’m reposting this one. In honor of my Mom it’s Christmas cookie season! It’s a tradition! Toward the end of my Moms life we had a few baking lessons (specifically Struffulli!). It was very important to her I was going to continue to carry on the tradition and not fuck it up😁👍. Next up-Lace Cookies. 💕 Who else is carrying on some great family traditions?
Who would not like to wake up to a beautiful berry smoothie bowl?
Berries are a good source of polyphenols, especially anthocyanins, micronutrients, and fibre. Studies have shown that the functional components from berries decrease oxidative stress and inhibit inflammatory gene expression.
I am in love with this Protein Granola (Vegan, GF). And let me tell you something: I don't always eat it for breakfast! 😱⠀
I know. I know. Granola is breakfast food. ⠀
It's just that we have smoothies every day for breakfast. Yes. Every friggin' day.⠀
I sound negative there, don't I? Like I hate smoothies. I don't. I love them! More than anything, I love how they make me feel. And I love that Shawn and I have them together.⠀
Well, mostly we have them together. Sometimes I delay mine until lunch, but you get the idea.⠀
But when you combine a bowl of this granola with some almond milk, it is like a little bit of heaven in a bowl. And here's the thing, I did a lot of research and put a lot of testing in this granola to make it ultra clumpy! ⠀
Who knew that clumpy could be a good thing in a recipe? We just discovered that rather than a free-fall of individual granola bits, we liked clusters of granola. So I tweaked this recipe to get it JUST right!⠀

Often times it’s not doing anything that has unwanted consequences. If you can take even baby steps towards doing the right thing, don’t you owe it to yourself to try?
Right now, the greatest problem we’re facing is the effects of animal agriculture. The most powerful thing you can do is to cut back on your meat and dairy consumption. You don’t have to quit cold turkey (excuse the expression 😅), but maybe skip it one or two days a week? All we ask is for you to try 💚
I am exhausted! In my last unit at uni, the lecturer warned us of the ‘pit of despair’- around 6-8 weeks into the unit when you start to question WHY you thought studying was a good idea. Well I am officially in the pit of despair with my accounting unit 😭 That plus the general end of year craziness has got me feeling so overwhelmed! I know studying was my choice so I can’t really complain but the idea of ‘part-time’ study makes you think that you can work full time, look after yourself and still have some semblance of a life around uni... but it’s not true! There is so much reading & research, and I guess since it’s a topic I don’t particularly enjoy, I’m finding it hard to keep myself focussed. I know it will all be worth it in the end but they end seems like a long way away!
I got up super early this morning to get my weights and cardio done before work & I am writing this post from the bus, partly so I don’t fall asleep and partly because looking at food pics reminds me that I have something to look forward to (lunch time 😂). With my new weights training program, I am doing one super heavy PT session a month, to try and get new PBs. So I get to increase my carb intake the day before 🤩 This is lunch from last time, pretty much what I always eat for lunch during the week- beans and salad- with the addition of brown rice. And of course sriracha + a sprinkle of garlic salt because condiments are life 🙌🏻
✨PS- HMU if you have any magic secrets to help me get my life together ✨
