I put our house plants in new, bigger pots last night. They haven't grown in awhile and I realized it was because they couldn't... because they didn't have room to get any bigger.
OF COURSE I realized this is a metaphor for life. Plants are good for that and I'm basically obsessed with deep thinking.
We want to grow... get stronger.... be even more of a blessing to others.
Are we increasing our capacity to grow? Are we giving ourselves margin and space to do the work that is required to expand our ministry and influence? Are we always just at our limit? Are we always just barely surviving and playing the victim so it doesn't hurt so badly?
Are we just accepting being small?
Giving myself space to grow and increase my capacity for the MORE that my heart longs for in relationships with God, myself and others can be so uncomfortable. Escaping through busyness, giving up my power of choice by blaming everyone else and shying away from becoming "bigger" because of how I've decided it makes people around me feel is what I've always been used to... up until now.
It's time for me to get in a new, bigger pot. I'm ready to see what's possible when I am willing to be with what's uncomfortable and not seek to fix it and get away from it all the time. Are you? ❤️

I think my plant obsession started back in my childhood when my mum used to work as a florist. Going back home now I start to see how beautiful her work is and how happy it can make people to be surrounded by plants and flowers. I‘m so proud of her creativity! 😻 This is one of her projects where she tried to grow plants in a bottle hanging down the window 💓🍃 #houseplants#florist#zimmerpflanzen#plantgang#hangingplants#plantlover#plantlady
