Ending the week with Day 12 Full body strength & burn @daniellepascente #stronginfall
Hot damn this workout was all that and a bag of kale chips💪🏼🔥
Definitely felt some leg burn from yesterday’s cardio bonus.
My upper body is weak sauce, but it’s getting stronger as I can use the 10lb longer so that’s 💃🏻 and these moves did burn today.
Weighted punches with 10lb dumbbells only lasted so long, but I kept trying them and used 5lb. Never have done box jumps. and I tried a chair and though I was going to die so I had to modify as I didn’t have much at home to use, so I did tuck jumps😅
Definitely an all around kick ass workout that you can challenge & push yourself with🙌🏼 have an amazing weekend everyone!💫
5 miles... It nearly killed me.
How on Earth can a 5 mile run @ 8:30 be so hard... And on such a beautiful day?
And... I'm beginning to dread the idea of @baystatemarathon in 3 or so weeks. 🤪
This is not good. I feel burned out. #toomanymarathons#ineedtoregroup
Contemplation, coffee, and sometime outside chilling with my 🐾🐾's. 🙏☕🌾
Gotta hit them angles, (with ma phone out) snappin like I’m Fabo 🕺🏻💅🏼 and I’m SO excited to see @champagnepapi tonight! So I got my sweat on already at the soul this morning. What an AMAZING start to the weekend! Hope y’all feel as good as I do 😘 happy FRIYAY!
Just thinking about how grateful I am to be able to run and travel. On Wednesday morning I had a quick run before we headed to the airport to fly to Glasgow. Upon arrival I got stuck at passport control because they thought my passport was fake 😂. They didn’t know you can opt for a bigger passport with more pages instead of the standard one. The officer was really nice though. Then we had to pick up our rental car and by we I mean Tibor because I can’t drive stick but I do my part by always reminding him to stay on the left side of the road. That’s after I always accidentally get it on the driver’s side 😂. We made it to Inverness at 9pm and we were STARVING after not eating all day but thankfully I remembered that @naturallystefanie always talks about Zizzi‘s in her videos and I had the most delicious vegan pizza...plus bruschetta and garlic bread. Carb loading right? 😂. 2 days until the marathon!! 😬😊🦕😍
Today was that good run I’ve been looking forward to. It felt great. I ran outside, but the mosquitoes are SO bad right now that as soon as you stop running they eat you alive so I opted to cool down inside.
What’s the best food to eat for inflammation or muscle soreness❓I got asked that and my answer is that there is not one single food or nutrient, but multiple variables involved including non-food related things. Through research, I’ve also learned that not all inflammation or soreness is bad as some is a part of our immune response to infections or adaptation to exercise, but can be an issue if it is longer lasting and affects our daily activities.
Dietitians or nutritionists, share below what you recommend to your active clients if they ask about anti-inflammatory foods?
Chocolate Date Walnut Oats:
1/2 to 1 cup oats
1/2 to 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 to 1 scoop plant-based protein powder
2 tbsp unsweetened organic cocoa powder
2 dates, chopped
2 tbsp walnuts, chopped
handful of blueberries
dash of cinnamon
pinch of salt
Cool fall temps means marathon season is upon us! How has your training been?

Built in the style of Renaissance and Romanesque palaces and fortresses this is a Victorian palazzo with limestone and red brick borrowing heavily from the Florentine Renaissance. In the 1970s the city planned to expand Hunter College by demolishing the building. After much debate, the facade of the precinct was landmarked, but the old prison cell and the rest of the back of the building were taken over. The 19th Precinct uses the upper floors of the old fire headquarters and the facade has been untouched. Inside, a memorial wall commemorates policemen whose lives were lost during 9/11
Se siente bien 👍🏼 🍃 estar de vuelta en el estadio y entrenado con EL Coach después de 6 meses de ausencia. Ahora toca tener paciencia para recuperará la forma, la velocidad y la resistencia. Esto va para largo pero con paso firme 🏃🏻♂️👊🏼🌱 So good to back at the stadium with THE Coach after a 6 month absence. It’ll take patience and resolve in order to regain form, speed and endurance. It’s going to take a while but there’s no stopping 👊🏼🌱 #runner#planpoweredathlete#plantbasedrunner#vegan#vegano#veganrunner#corredorvegano#plantpower
Race recap is up! Link in profile! 👆🏼Preview: As I’ve been absorbing this race the past few days, I’m finding it nearly impossible to decide on what to share and what to leave out. Because quite honestly, a lot of things lead me to last Saturday’s start line, and I can’t share it all... so here are the highlights.
Crack Me Open
As I was unpacking from this weekend’s trip to Flagstaff I was smiling to myself, because I know this is just the beginning. This race opened up a side of me I didn’t know I actually had. Six years ago, I registered for the Flagstaff Marathon. Two weeks before, I dropped down to the half marathon. On race day, I didn’t even toe the line.
I can’t even lie, these 4 miles were rough. It was super hot with no coverage, I wasn’t hydrated enough, I’ve had a rough week at work so I broke down and cried a couple of times. But they’re my 4 rough miles so I’ll love them 🌱🏃🏻♀️💜🌻🌞 #plantbasedrunner#motherrunner#momswhorun#run865
This Saturday, 9.22.18, is the 20 week mark to my next big RACE DAY - the PHX-Mesa Marathon. Today was my first speed workout with my Coach since my Labor Day half marathon and my left quad got angry with me. The leg isn’t 100% yet, but running is improving. Today was 3x1mi Tempo Intervals and it was hard. That last one was really hard. But, that’s the point. Building strength and speed. Improving little by little as you progress through the training and towards that next goal. Hey runners... or speed walkers, want to join is on October 6th 2018 for a 10k to support @yestolifecharity?
This charity backs a plant based lifestyle (which is why Day and I work with them on cool recipes) and support #cancer patients with #complimentary therapies to support their body, mind and also soul. Offering channels for expression, art, freedom and also at times just a pampering session like a massage etc. They are not afraid to try complementary therapies to help those in needs and though nobody can promise anything cures #cancer , we can support our body to do its job:fight to be healthy! Sadly too many people are lost to the C word but you can't stop fighting!!! Who is ready to share and come?

For those of you that don’t know, @charlie.grove and I have been training for our third half marathon (in the last ten years 😉). We have dabbled in running here and there but never consistently. We have really enjoyed getting back into it. I was posting my running stuff on a different IG page but decided to just mesh it all together on here since it has become a big part of my life. I absolutely LOVE running. Even when it sucks and is difficult. 😜 I’m not fast (yet😉), but it has helped me manage my insane stress levels with school, family and life. My mood has never been better. Challenging myself has been so good for me and hopefully can inspire someone else. Hope you enjoy this photo of us from several weeks ago when we ran 5 miles together as a family. (The girls enjoyed the 5 miles from the comfort of the double jogging stroller 😉)
Good morning☀️ Happy Wednesday! , although we have a fog cover & cool air, but it feels goooood😊 especially since today was...
Day 10 @daniellepascente #stronginfall challenge was Upper Body Strength & 🔥
As relieved as I was to give my 🍑 a break, this upper body workout kicked in quick!! Especially the weighted shoulder press jacks!!
Super stoked I used 10lbers the entire workout. The last round went a bit slower but I finished 💪🏼😅
Pretty sure there will be no moving parts today😂
