The things we consume affect us.
What are you consuming? What’s adding to your life and what needs to be let go of?
When I became at peace with myself something interesting happened; I no longer watched the gossipy, reality shows, read trashy magazines, consumed showbiz articles or used my time scrolling through Facebook.
Happier with myself and in my own life meant I didn’t want to watch other people suffer in theres. I didn’t want to criticise people. Or judge them for what they wore, ate, said, who they dated, or what they did.
I’ve also discovered what really interests me; so I read up on those topics and watch those things.
Don’t get me wrong; it’s not all documentaries and self development books...I’m obsessed with Queer eye, enjoy an old episode of SITC and will always want to read anything written by Jane Fallon. Why? Because they add to my life in someway. •
If you truly were to become what you read, watched and viewed how would that change what you choose to consume?
What’s adding to your life? What’s worth you spending your precious time on?
Miso soup with roasted eggplant is the perfect meal for a cold Sunday evening. Miso is great for your digestion if you have had a big weekend or just need a big cuddle to mentally prepare for getting out of bed in the dark on Monday morning.
I'm even more in love with Young Living after going to Convention and then the farm last week. I witnessed firsthand how passionate every employee and member is to maintaining this highest therapeutic grade essential oil company. And to carry on Gary Young's vision of healing through these pure products. Hearing how the YL foundation continues to help SO many victims of malaria, sex trafficking, modern day slavery, and those affected by earthquakes, hurricanes and fire made my tears stream everyday while in Utah. But it also confirmed to me why this is THE best company to shop with, work for and donate to. I started to get our family a little healthier. Now it is so much more. If you haven't tried yet, start simple. One oil at a time. Or go big! I'm here to guide you in wellness, purpose, abundance. There's no wrong way. #foreveryoungliving#onedayatatime#theresanoilforthat#plantbasedliving#letshealtheworld
A take on *Cardio & Restricted Diet* vs *Cardio/Weights/Yoga & Diet rich in good fats, other nutrients. I lost a good amount of weight back in 2015 with the help of intense cardio sessions. I was dedicated enough towards my body goal. However, a mistake was ruining it all and that was diet mistakes. I wasnt eating enough fats or good fats. I would eat less, drink more water in an attempt to stop my body from consuming calories. I was avoiding rice and limiting carbs. The result was a thin posture with no curves or muscles. On top of that, I was a meat eater but that wasnt helping me.
Now in 2017-18, when I am again on the same path, I have decided to eat everything that is God-made and fats that are alright for my body. I am doing cardio but also focusing on muscle gains through squats and free hand weight exercise. As a result, my body looks full and I dont look as if I need food.
Huge differences can be made through diet and you shouldnt be worried about consuming fats. As long as you are working out and stay happy. #stressmanagement , #WFPB , #plantbasedliving , #girlswhosquat , #vegansofinstagram , #curvywomen , #flauntcurves , #weightlossjourney

Vietnam has stolen my heart already; it's a haven for plant based foodies. Have not stopped eating since I arrived, but then why would I... 😉
Chay Pho Cuôn Bò - a delicious bowl of 'mock meat' created from soybean & wheat gluten, ft noodles, veggies and a whole lot of spicy magic. Devine. 🌱

Regrann from @lomanchego - As ethical vegans, we are always trying to educate others and inspire them with our actions to emphatically commit to the vegan lifestyle like we do, but more often than not, our pleas fall on deaf ears.
It turns out that it’s not enough to discuss the evils of factory farming, the enslavement, torture and death of millions of animals, the disease-inducing Standard American Diet and the negative environmental effects of consuming animal products. Despite our best efforts, most people will not change unless they are ready and willing to commit to a different path.
As human beings, we seek consistency in our beliefs and attitudes, and when there is a conflict between behavior and belief, something must change in order to eliminate or reduce those feelings of discomfort. This is a powerful motivator and usually leads to a willingness to change one’s behavior without feeling pressure from or persuaded by someone else to make different choices.
Tom considers himself an animal lover, he rescues shelter animals and participates in fundraising events and protests for other endangered wildlife.
BUT, Tom consumes animal products and these actions have him participating in the enslavement, torture and death of farm animals.
Tom may be unaware, based on his cultural norms, that rescuing shelter animals but consuming farm animals is a form of moral relativism and is inconsistent with his beliefs about himself as an “animal lover”. If this is brought to his attention and the discomfort is profound enough, Tom can reduce the conflict between belief and behavior by choosing to abstain from the commodification of all animals in all aspects.
Plain and simple. Align your actions with your ethics.
I came to the realization today that all four of my babies have been introduced on my Instagram account. 👦🏼👦🏼👶🏼🐶 My three mini me's and my dog are my insta inspiration and my whole world 🌎 so it's usually all about them, but I thought it would be great to introduce myself to all of the other mamas out there and to further the connections being made with all of you! 👭 I'm a 24 year old mom of three, my two boys and my girlie and a dog mama to one sweet golden pup. 👦🏼👦🏼👶🏼🐶 In September I start the journey towards my Bachelor of Social Work. 📚 I am insanely passionate about social work and working with children and youth. I am super excited to return to school and start this journey ahead of me. #studentmom . I'm a huge animal lover. 🐶🐱 Green food is my favourite food. 🌿#plantbasedliving . Nature is where I feel calm in the chaos of life. 🍃 I'm a big beach bum. 🌊 Pink is my favourite colour. 🌸 I enjoy personal development books, iced coffee and herbal teas, warm baths, yoga, meditation, listening to podcasts, shopping and connecting and bonding with other mamas. #momsunited . My family is my everything, motherhood has shown me the true meaning of life and the true beauty of living. Although it's s tough gig, it's also the best job imaginable. #momlifeisthebestlife . I used to be embarrassed to talk about it and I tried to hide it for a very long time, but recently I have found the strength to be open about my anxiety, panic and obsessive compulsive disorders. I've struggled since I was a small child. I used to be afraid and ashamed of the fact that I take medication, but I have realized over time that I am not less of a person or less of a mother because of this. I have found that with my medication, healthy eating, physical activity, rest, reflection and self care, that I am able to cope with my disorders in a way that works for me. #anxietywarrior
