One of the favourite pizzas in Brasil: Dry tomato & rúcula 😍 + homemade pizza base and vegan cheese of course!! Hehe
Mom and I made 8 pizza bases last week and kept it in the freezer so that at any time we are hungry we can take one, add the layers, bake it for 10min and devour it 💪💪💪 It makes for a quick and awesome dinner!
❤️❤️ Mom's pizza base recipe ❤️❤️
30g bread yeast
1/2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1kg whole wheat flour
1) Mix yeast, sugar, salt, 2tbsp of flour and 1/2cup of warm water, cover it with a cloth and leave it to grown for 15min.
2) Add flour to a recipient, open a whole in the middle add the yeast mix and mix. Keep adding water and mixing untill it doesn't stick to your fingers.
3) sprinkle flour in a table top and work it with your hands for about 10min.
4) divide it in 6-8 pieces and make little balls. Sprinkle flour in a table, put the balls over it, vover it with a thin cloth, than a plastic bag and a heavy cloth. Let it grow for 1,5-2h.
5) With a roller, open each ball into a pizza base, make it as thick as you like.
6) Pre bake for 5-10min until the base is dry and detaching from the tray, but not yet golden.
Now you can put the toppings and bake until the cheese melts or freeze it.
Why don't you make some and freeze it too? You won't regret it :) .

Place: Posto Pubblico (Soho). I'm willing to give this place a perfect score. To be honest, I almost deducted one point because it took them around 40 minutes to serve my pizza - way too long! But as a 1st time customer I give them the credit that it might have been an exception. I want to highlight this restaurant as a very nice, spacious and comfortable restaurant with very friendly staff and excellent background music. Pizza: Funghi Tartufo (mushrooms, truffle). This is a "pizza fritta", meaning pan fried and charred in an iron skillet. It's basically what Pizza Hut does as well, but Posto Publicco has the higher quality version. The mushroom toppings are very rich, the pie looks beautiful and the taste is nice and full. Unfortunately, this type of pizza baking can never achieve the results of an original wood-fired technique, but I'm sure many people like it and the concept works. No complaints. Price: 169 HKD. Higher end of the range, but it's normal to pay this price in Soho.
