On the flip side of “flare- town” lies the “realm of relateability” - yeah, it’s a stretch, but stay with me, I’ll get there. I believe there comes a moment in each teacher’s process where it suddenly becomes clear: “Oh! THIS one is like THAT one!” It’s like discovering a new world of clarity and for a moment, you feel like you’ve got it all figured out.... but just for that moment, right? .
This is a clip from my Creative Mat Transitions Masterclass, where we relate the Saw to the Corkscrew to bring clarity of positioning. Click The Link in my Bio to check it out. .
If relating movements together is a new concept for you, start simply- which ones look like they are in the same family, which are cousins and which live in a different country altogether and will require a journey to reach them. The Pilates Method is a tapestry of connection. It’s up to us as teachers to take on the challenge of exploring the method and discovering our voice within that experience. To prepare for the week ahead, think about some of the connections that you definitely know are true. I’ll get you started: Hundred = Baby Teaser. See? Easy! Much love and empowerment for a fulfilling week ahead!!! @cloebunterpilates 💗💗💗
Try this delicious Sunday night recipe: thanks 🙏 to @deliciousmag #sunday#pilatesfitperth Ingredients 300g new potatoes
100g tenderstem broccoli
100g frozen peas
8 large free-range eggs, lightly beaten
1 tbsp each finely chopped fresh mint, coriander and basil
1 tbsp olive oil
80g goat’s cheese
Crisp green salad and lemon wedges (optional)
01.Bring a large pan of water to the boil, then cook the potatoes for 15-20 minutes until tender, adding the broccoli and peas to the pan for the last 5 minutes. Drain all the vegetables, then refresh under cold water. Cut the potatoes into quarters.
02.Heat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas 7. Put the eggs in a large mixing bowl and season well with salt and pepper, then add the potatoes, peas and herbs (set the broccoli aside). 03.Heat the olive oil in a deep ovenproof frying pan (about 24cm diameter), then pour in the egg mixture and cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes or until the eggs have set underneath. Lay the broccoli on top, then carefully transfer the frittata in its pan to the oven and cook for 13-15 minutes (15-18 minutes if you prefer your frittata to have a firmer set). 04.Crumble the goat’s cheese over the top of the frittata, then serve with a green salad and lemon wedges to squeeze over if you like. This was after yesterday's workout - Piyo: Sweat. 💪
Originally, I was going to post today's sweaty selfie along WITH yesterday's...but today's didn't happen. 😔
Guys. I won't lie. I am struggling becoming a weekend warrior again. I had a wax appointment this morning at 10:15, so I knew I had to be showered and ready by 9:45 to get there on time. Buuuuut...I decided I wanted to sleep in and NOT get up early to work out. And y'all KNOW how I struggle to work out later in the day...and especially at night. 😏
After my appointment, it was just too fun watching my kids and Hubby play MarioKart together, my son on my lap, me sometimes taking over for him in races he preferred not to compete in. So...I didn't take advantage and work out in the afternoon. I hung out with My People instead!!! 😄
And then it got later...and later...and LATER!!! And then it was time to make dinner and then we headed to a concert. 🎵🎶🎶🎵
Sooo...I made the conscious decision to double-up on Monday...AGAIN. Because I AM going to complete EVERY workout of this Piyo Strength Program!!! 👊
What's YOUR biggest workout struggle right now...? 🤔
Playing around after our last day of Pilates Teacher Training today!! I can't believe how fast these last two weeks have gone. I learned so much more than I expected about this practice and also about myself. Beyond excited to see where this leads me in life and to start teaching next week 💓
