Friday Reminder: “The mind and body are not separate. What affects one, affects the other.✨Plan your week ahead, schedule in how and when you will get active, fuel your body with good food and aim not to use the excuse of “busy” or work to stop you. At the end of the day, you have one body and one mind and they connect, so look after yourself” 🖤 #fridayinspo
A car ride, a red-eye flight and three trains to get to this moment. Traveling is SO hard on the body. Nothing a little Pilates and this view can’t fix. Switzerland you are even more gorgeous than I could’ve ever imagined. Can not wait to hike those mountains!
"You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend." Bruce Lee
Whether it's holding together or spilling everywhere; whether it's gentle and refreshing or harsh and daunting, water adapts to its circumstance, but never acts outside of its properties. It just is what it is in all its glory.
We've added another Hot Pilates Mat class to the schedule at @body.alive Kenwood! Join me on Thursdays at 4pm for a $5 community class. Expect to move through an advanced and challenging flow while utilizing small props in the hot room 💪🏻🔥🧘🏼♀️
🎧 ON for
#flexfriday and #fitballfriday all rolled into one for a
functional TCM #totalbodyworkout that targets shoulders, upper back, arms, core, glutes & legs simultaneously!!!! It’s 💯 use of your entire body simultaneously!!!
Here it is 💪💪💪 Top screen-
Place loop band under feet and in hands. Keep the bridge and remember don’t do a full bridge, just a glute tuck and lift to ensure you work the glute not the lower back.
Hold arms up but keep shoulders down and retracted.
•Overhead arm extension
•Tricep curl different hand placement
Using a fitball kneel on the ball in a mini squat position with loop band wrapped around the ball. Keep squat position hinging forward from the hip with a flat back and shoulders down and retracted follow movements ~
•High row •Low Row -notice hand position change
•Shoulder press -notice arm position change at end to get to🔽
•Tricep extension in 3 different hand positions
Why three changes? The TCM way hits all 3 heads of the Tricep 1 with each position for a total Tricep scorcher🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Hope you try these out, if you do, let me know what you think 🤔 😘
Have the best weekend!!
💻The first article I’ve ever written about myself and my change of career! 🤸🏼♀️ It’s quite weird to see it written down and in print! Writing it really showed how far I’ve come from my job as a Sales person in a CRA, to living this crazy, wonderful life that I now live 🌏
📸Some of you out there feature in the photos 💁🏼♀️ thank-you ⭐️
🤔Not entirely sure why they used that stock yoga photo at the bottom 🤦🏼♀️

Pelvic lift - hamstring and glute burner to finish off a dynamic reformer class. Oof! I accidentally did this on much lighter springs than I normally would, and holy moly did it increase the challenge!
Look at this babe go.🤸♂️

EMOTIONAL POST ALERT!
(Sound on for Verbal Cues)-now initially I intended to post and mute my voice, but I wanted you to witness his attention to direction and detail...now keep in mind that this was his 3rd time executing so the cues at this point were less detailed and more-so friendly reminders. -
MEET GERMAN! He is 37 and when he came to me at KinetiCore in March he moved as if he were 50 years older. He moved with timidness and he didn’t even wear shoes that laced because his bulging disc was so bad he couldn’t tie his shoes! Laying supine to do footwork was a challenge, let alone holding any sort of table top position. With German’s intense focus and consistent work, and steady progressions, 5 months later he is doing advanced work! And it isn’t even about that...he wears shoes that tie, he picks up his niece and nephew, and he went paddle boarding this summer! Some of the things he would have never done even just six months ago! -
He moves with confidence and it has been and honor and a privilege to work with him and be apart of his journey!! Tonight MIGHT have been my last session with him. Selfishly I wish it wasn’t (as I have stated, I am currently in a state of transition...more to be revealed later). At the end of the day I could not encourage him enough to just keep moving!!! Because why??? MOVEMENT HEALS! -
I might have shed a tear or two tonight. Very bittersweet indeed. -
Skating out of Friday and into Saturday with the Glutes standing exercise Skating ⛸ I’m on one spring. This exercise took me a while to get my head around - lower springs helped a lot! Have a wonderful Friday!🌈
