Happy Father's Day!! This is my daddy- Roger- papa Roger. Father's all to often get over looked for how truly important they are. My daddy was and still is always there for me and my brothers as well as all his grandchildren. Growing up my daddy worked long hours from spring to start of winter. He was home every night. Even if I saw him for a few minutes they were the best part of the day. He would brush my hair, wake up much to early and have me on the ice playing music for us when I skated, took me to much to many doctor appointments across Manitoba and Saskatchewan, brought me home little gifts when he had to work out of town...my dad was there for my son as well. He would take him in the wagon, brown bag lunches he would go to instead of me, every sporting event for my son, my brothers and myself, took my son up to the closest ski hill and stay all day...he stepped in and was a father figure to my son. Helped shape him into the young man he is today. Showed and taught him how to be a man.
These are my brothers. They each have also stepped in and helped me raise my son. They each as well have showen him how a man should be. Each one of them have shown love and are loved apart of my son's life.
My son is 21 now, and I have always been a single mom. But he has always had 4 incredible men in his life that have been a father figure to him. Happy Father's Day!! To every Father out there raising daughters and sons Happy Fathers Day. To those that have gone through a child passing much to early Happy Fathers Day. To those trying to have children, fostering children, stepping in and being a father figure Happy Father's Day. A father is someone that to a daughter no man will ever measure up to, to a son someone that he stives to be like. Fathers are so important in a childs and adult life. Much love xoxo
