It’s week 3 of doing this booty s*^t and it was tough this time around 😅 But I’m noticing more shape in that area than any other time in my life, and my arms are getting stronger. So yeah, gonna keep going with this one 😉🤘🏻 Gotta celebrate those non-scale victories right?!
Yep I’m pointing to my butt that’s on 🔥 These booty workouts with resistance loops are off the hook! 😂 You seriously think going into it this won’t be so bad...wrong 😅 I gonna feel this when I teach Barre tonight.
I’m liking my leg days now. Why? 👉🏻👉🏻lifting heavier weights makes me feel like a badass! 🤘🏻😅 Of course, this week I’ll be bumping up the weight in all my workouts so we shall see how the whole sha-bang goes 😉
This was a very expressive workout I must say. I really struggled with the usual Skull Crushers. It was all about working in the negative eccentric contraction of the muscle. I know big words 😉 You’ll see and HEAR it as I slow the count down to 3 for each move 😅💪🏻
Holy Booty Butt!!! This was a couple days ago and I’m still feeling the soreness 😅 May have to use this one in my Barre class next week 😉🤔 I also feel it helps the side I injured last year. Have a fabulous Thursday!!!!
Total Body Burn! Weights and resistance loops make our muscles burn twice as much 😅 I pushed myself so hard yesterday in this workout I made an ugly face at the end 🤪 You may see it in the 3rd clip and if not, it’s probably better ha!!!
I do wish I had a bench sometimes with the chest press so my spine stays straight. It gets challenging with the stability ball especially when you get tired. Always form first over speed! It’s not worth rushing through it ☝🏻🏋🏻♀️
Isometric holds burn 🔥 Why do them? Builds strength and burns fat; and good to do if you’re nursing an injury back to health 👉🏻👉🏻 but yeah check with your doctor if you should be doing such exercises 😉
Love this gem I found on Pinterest. Gotta love Pinterest right?! My yoga training background is in the Iyengar system of hatha yoga. Although B.K.S. Iyengar left the physical world a few years ago, I feel blessed to have saw him speak at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco back in the early 2000s. It was quite a profound experience to be that close in proximity 😀 He dedicated his life to this practice and you could feel it when he spoke. I’m so grateful for his teachings and glad I found it! Namaste 🙏🏻

Getting back into the groove with some yoga. Even after 7 days of not working out I didn’t feel too rickety 🤘🏻 I’m glad I let myself rest and I think the yin yoga helped keep the stiffness at bay too 😊😌 Happy Christmas Eve everyone!!!
Yin yoga has been my savior this past week on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. I am missing my other workouts for sure, but getting this cold really made me slow freakin down. It helped me work out some stuff indeed! 👉🏻that I don’t need to have this whole holiday thing together 👉🏻 and whatever I do is just fine 👌🏻 As Theodore Roosevelt put it, “Comparison is the thief of joy”. Some soothing yin yoga 🧘🏻♀️ with a soothing cat 🐱 I came down with a bit of a cold so the self-care is in order. I’m not surprised that I got sick because in an earlier post, I was reflecting about how I wanted to slow down. So here it is.

I find myself wanting to slowdown this week when I know I can’t. I’m taking some time to look at how I spend my time and what’s benefiting me, versus wasting or depleting my time and self. Also I don’t feel like a good parent at the moment and I need to trust it’ll pass. So perhaps slowing down and reflecting on what IS going well instead of where I feel I suck.

I love Active Recovery days, especially for today. I’m feeling overwhelmed by the month and all that goes into it. Usually this means I haven’t been doing something in my self-care routine 😳 Meditation and journaling have fallen to the back burner a bit, which is probably why I couldn’t fall asleep last night. All will be ok. I just need to believe it and breathe 😌

I know it may look gross and unappealing, but boy do I feel the mobility back in my shoulders and back!!! I recommend giving Cupping a try if you suffer from chronic stiffness and tightness in the body. My mid back was so locked up before, and Darlene Dollar worked her magic with these cups 😄
Here’s a piece of info: at first it feels like a vacuum hose into your skin, but then it subsides. Trust me.
Core, cardio, and cats 🐈🐱 What a combo for a workout. I’ve been focusing more on my form and working my core more these days. I’m feeling a musculoskeletal imbalance happening in my left side so I’m going to be monitoring that as I go through my week. Slow and steady 👍🏻
