Violeta and I were fortunate to be invited by our supplier Fuji Xerox to attend the Woman in Print Breakfast Event yesterday. It was a great opportunity to network with different woman from all areas of the industry.
The highlight of the breakfast (apart from the very tasty food at the Hyatt Regency Perth) was meeting and listening to a talk by Amna Karra-Hassan. Amna is an activist and advocate for diversity, inclusion and gender parity. She spoke about her personal story of adversity and hope to influence and change the conversation on gender, faith and representation.
She is a very strong woman who gave me perspective from her own story and how it was growing up as a Lebanese Muslin in Western Sydney during the 9/11 time.
Being able to meet people from different cultural backgrounds are profoundly important to me. It helps to be more open minded understanding and create more unity in the world. I honestly feel honoured to learn about life from a different perspective. Thanks so much for a great morning and inspiring speaker Woman in Print! What a great way to start the day! 🙌
