Day 60: Pho sho. When I was last in Vietnam, a whole 6 years ago, I hadn’t heard of Banh Mi, Pho, Bun Cha, Sriracha or any of the classics. All this food was brand spanking new to me and I don’t ever remember knowing the names! When I arrived back in the UK and promptly moved to London, I had no idea what this “Fo” everyone was raving on about was, turns out it was that banging noodle soup we ate so much of back in Nam. Since then I’ve probably doubled my Pho consumption, slurping from the hundreds of Vietnamese joints in London Town plus the odd attempt at home, but non of them compare to the real deal. I’d forgotten how fresh and full of flavour the Pho here is, this was bowl number one, I’m sure there will be many more. Bang tidy.
Over and out, E.
