Counting your Macros - WHAT!✔️
I’ve always followed my own “way of living” by learning about healthy eating habits, recipes, diets, and following inspirational coaches or personal trainers. I never measure my success on how much I weigh. In fact, I don’t weigh myself unless I’m at the doctor. All I care about Is feeling good, physically and mentally. One thing I’ve been trying to learn more about is counting my macros, 1️⃣ because I keep hearing about it & 2️⃣ because I’ve seen a lot of success from friends and people I follow! .

It wasn't a perfect week but I ended it the way it needed to be ended and I'll start next week with a new fire. A fire full of change. Your body needs change and guess what... Sometimes so does your life.... Your routine.... Your dreams and needs.... Don't be afraid ... Just start... You can do it!
It's kind of been my theme this week but the truth is you don't have to do it for a summer body, you don't have to do it for a wedding, you don't have to do it for anybody other than yourself. Everyone has different goals, everyone has different needs, just start.

Well as I wrote and promised yesterday, today I got up and started to make things happen. I actually got on the scale and it was not bad whatsoever. I'm still floating around the same range like I have been for months. But that is OK. I crushed my early-morning workout. I am fueling back up as I post this, and will crush a weightlifting Boot Camp later tonight. This morning my goofy trainer said to "suck it up so you don't have to suck it in". I can't make this shit up. It made me laugh and I did work harder. You guys can work on building a butt and I will work on getting rid of mine. Have a great day everyone.
Sometimes you get into your own head and you take the easy way out of things. My meal prep has sucked lately, my water intake has sucked lately and I have just been blocked mentally. Decided to use today as a prep day and get everything back on track by tomorrow. We are all going to derail once in a while and that is OK and you have to let yourself be OK with that. But my goals and dreams haven't gone away so the only one that I would let down as myself. That I am not going to do. Heading back for another workout this evening. Baby steps.
Senior year of college VS. Senior year of medical school
College - I ate and drank whatever I pleased fully living the "YOLO" lifestyle of I'm graduating and can't miss out.
I hated how my clothes fit. I felt uncomfortable in my own skin. But I went out every night anyway. I ignored what my body wanted and did what I thought every college senior *should* do. Enjoy life 🙌
Med school - this girl still knows how to have a good time but I eat healthy, CARE for my body, and when I do go out I try to avoid the 2am canyon pizza in exchange usually for Trader Joes banana chips (lol)
I feel comfortable in my own skin. I love my body. And I respect it when it's tired and wants to Netflix with a glass of wine.
Some call this growing up. That's definitely part of it.
But for me it was TIME for a change. I deserved it.
Love yourself no matter where you come from, where you are, or where you're going.
