1300 stainless steel balls floating on the grounds of Phillip Johnson’s Glass House. The “Narcissus pond” is the protagonist of the scenic view through the house’s glass facade. In 2016 artist Yayoi Kusama placed 1300 floating stainless steel balls, about 1 ft in diameter, into the lake. Depending on wind currents the balls glide and dance over the surface, a brilliant way to make water’s movement visible. Slide to get a closer look in the fall weather.
