“In the age of the megaplex, I’ve always remained a devout fan of small and independent movie theaters that have managed to survive all these years. House manager, Victor Martinez is a reason to visit Vista Theater during a big opening weekend of a huge blockbuster. You'd be hard-pressed to miss him decked out in a spot-on replication of one of the film’s main characters, as he greets you with a smile and welcomes you into the theater. Movie magic!” - Darren Criss, Mabuhay Magazine, July 2018

This photo was taken about 4 years ago. Have you ever experienced meeting people you haven't seen for some time and they say "Uy, tumaba ka" (Hey, you got fat)? It can get annoying, right? 😣😤 Growing older, I still retained my high cheekbones, but the hollows got filled in. The slender arms became rounder. My jeans size increased two sizes as my hips became wider. 🙂
I sometimes miss my old body wherein I can wear anything, including the skinniest skinny jeans. But I learned to embrace the changes that are happening to me, that exercise or good diet cannot reverse.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what other people think. The most important thing is for you to accept and to love yourself first. 💖😊
Remember being a kid? Remember climbing trees with your friends? Remember wearing velcro shoes because you hadn't learned to tie laces? Remember how the worst problem that could come your way was scraped knees and runny noses? I always thought that the older I would get, the more the things in my life would make sense to me and now that I am older I realize, they only got more confusing.
