Mile Long Barracks, Corregidor Island.
Contrary to belief that this place is spooky at night due to all the death and destruction during World War 2, it is quite peaceful and relaxing to stroll at night. I guess it has experienced so much chaos that it now deserves this calmness.
What an enchanting view before entering the Underground River! 📷 @seaj0725

One of the main attractions of Corregidor Island are its coastal guns and pictured here is Battery Way. Although inactive for much of the defense against the Japanese due to personnel shortages, Artillery men from Bataan were finally able to operate the battery on April and was the last battery still firing on Japanese positions until the fall of Corregidor on May 6, 1942
