//H A N D M A D E// How good is learning a new skill and getting creative? Some people go on to make planters for friends and family and multiple for their own window sills, and some.say "oh that was hella fun, but I'm not doing that again!". Which kind of creative are you?!
Well working again on what really lights me has been the single most exciting thing that’s happened in the last few months...
Here are a couple of my sketchbooks and photo books that I have worked from.
You have a sneak peek today, as I’m back working on 4 new canvases right now, as an extension of the last collection I had strayed before ‘burning out’.
I’m back with new energy, new enthusiasm and doing everything under my own terms this time!
👀 Am I the only person who noticed London Court’s clock has a rooster one side 🐓 and an owl 🦉 on the other? So many small details... @perthbeautyblog has sold out of some rental dresses this week - prebook today (& with zip pay options for those who are broke and hanging on for pay day) - www.designerex.com.au/perthbeautyblog

Chi mi segue starà iniziando a capire. Esiste un baratro: dipingerlo è il solo modo per uscirne.
Questo è un nuovo Autoritratto: non sono io da vecchio, ma io in questo momento. Basta parole però adesso: parlano i pigmenti.

Busy day in studio. So happy with the layers and layers and layers of lovely waxy texture in this one. Think I have caught that feeling of the sand and the 4WD tracks that are a familiar feature of my favourite painting spot. (Nanarup WA) Well I hope so anyway... “Things I long for...” 2018, encaustic wax on panel. 60x60cm. $860 framed in Tasmanian Oak shadow frame. #anitaphillipsstudio

A flock of Birds are landing here at Nest Studio Gallery here in the Perth Hills- Darlington.

-🕊Maya Bird of Nest.
Sally Edmonds is an English artist who has made Perth her permanent home. Sally turned professional in 2014 following on from a career in design and reprographics in the UK print industry. Her work reflects a passion for wildlife, especially birds. Using pastel and colour pencil Sally leans towards realism but deliberately veers away from the more traditional style of portraying wildlife preferring to use a bolder style with visible marks, large size, negative space, dramatic light and exaggerated colour. She has won multiple awards for her work.

I always say this after our workshops but it’s true. It was another lovely group of beautiful souls here at today’s Organic Gardening workshop with Carla from Gaia’s Organic Gardens.
Thankyou everyone for all the locals and all the people who came from afar.
Such a great day today and thankyou Carla we always love having you here.
@eddievrywhere as per your request, a drawing of a one Mr Pollie.
I don't usually draw men as I find it hard not to give too much emphasis on eyes and lips when creating portraits which tends to makes the subject look feminine...luckily for Kurt he has a beard so it'd be hard to make him look too much like a woman...although he does have hair to make any woman green with envy 😉 @kurtpoll
