on the 3rd of august, i somehow managed to sketch, shoot and color 3 full drawings in a single day - far beyond the productivity ive had in the past 2 years or so. this is the first drawing, the others will come soon. sketched from 12am - 130am, colored from 930am - 11am. inspired (very liberally) from scenes in world of tomorrow by don hertzfeldt

Guys I’m super excited for this tool Tuesday. A true game changer when it comes to power tools. I’m looking forward to see where this tool takes me in the future. Now to figure out dust collection for it. .
. I found a pencil sharpener! What were you thinking? A new @ridgidpowertools @ryobipowertools
#homwork Week 31: ‘Some things were meant to be’ - with a shoutout to my good friends @misspj24 and @ashjones88 - I’m lucky enough to have many great people in my life but I don’t know what I’d do without afternoon snacks and our little trio 💃🏽💪🏼🍓💕
Commitment...it’s so much more fun to do your work when you’re #passionate about what you’re doing and you also have #cuteaccessories to work with! As I continue to build my team and my skills I’m learning that now more than ever #organization is a must! Plus I know that if I get it all out of my head and onto paper I know I will sleep 💤
I hear a lot that I am old school.
I have notebook after notebook of ideas; or waiting for ideas to reside on their pages.
I have 5 mugs/holders of pens, highlighters, markers, pencils.
I use notepads to take notes from calls with clients.
I write out my goals and plan by week FIRST in a notebook.
Why ... because it allows a certain aspect of my brain to connect with what I am writing. I can type 100 wpm but I'm not going to absorb the goals. I'm not going to absorb the plan.
There is a part of your brain that works with writing it out that allows it to become more real. It allows you to have another layer of absorption when it comes to the ideas, goals, content or plans that you're crafting or listening to from someone else.
Now, once i've gotten it written out I DO put it into a digital save place. It's a process that while some may take time, for me it's the part that allows my brain to truly register what I'm working on, to connect with the goal and end-result and visualize the plan to make it happen.
So don't shy away from using pen & paper ... it actually helps to make everything else fit into your bigger picture. WRITE IT DOWN doesn't mean TYPE IT OUT. Nobody has to be able to read it but you.
