Day 9/100: you can’t take the New Yorker out of us just yet. Today we spent the whole morning reading the Sunday New York Times; see if you can tell what our favorite sections are (note: sports section is on the floor). Even though the news is all available online it’s nice to have a few hours of screen-free time. The physical paper helps me focus, avoiding internet distractions and I usually end up reading an article I wouldn’t have ever clicked on just because it’s right in front of me. It’s my favorite way to start Sunday. #100daychallenge#penandinkdrawing#penandink#sketch#inkdrawing#dailyart
New video is up on YouTube (link in profile) for those of you that haven’t seen it yet! I was half reviewing/half experimenting with some erasable pens I had been sent, and ended up doing this more “finished” illustration as a time lapse. As I was looking at it after the fact, I realized it went really well with a few purchases I made recently (which will also be making an appearance in another video in the near future), so I set up this photo. With this piece, I was trying to play with contrast using the combination of a short hairstyle mixed with something a little more vintage looking. In the end, I really like the way it looks, and I might try to do another version of it sometime soon.
I know: 2 posts in one day? Whaaaat? But I have a little explaining to do. This past week my posts have been a bit few and far between. I mean-typically I’m able to post something new everyday-but (in case you didn’t catch my stories) I had my tote bag stolen right off of the seat of my truck while at work and it had a lot of my go-to art supplies in that bag! Which set me back just a bit as well as transitioning into the “busy season” at work. It hasn’t left a whole lot of time for drawing. BUT I am working on a few new things-such as a “Bill & Me” Zine about my beloved tote bag (pictured), and a new Love.Apocalypse drawing (which I have to start over 😑, because it was stolen), and I bought some new color pencils to play with! Anyway, all this to say that as work picks up I may not be able to post daily like I want to-but hopefully you guys will be okay with something every few days? I promise it will all be worth the wait! Until then happy Sunday you guys!

- How to kill a Vampire
How to kill a Vampire is an adventure originally based on an actual RPG campaign from my childhood. It has evolved into something more. It’s set in a post-apocalyptic world and is filled with deeply rooted supernatural belief systems from around the world. What would you do if a vampire killed your family?
