Babies go through 7 cardinal movements from the time they enter the pelvic inlet to birth. They too, have work to do in labour and we can help them along by staying upright, mobile and changing positions frequently. Our bodies will tell us how to move in sync with our babies and our intuition. We are pretty amazing. ❤️

Visceral Manipulation level 3 (VM3) in Parma, Italy 🇮🇹was taught by my teacher Roberto Bonanzinga (D.O.) in four days we learnt a lot about the organs, the connective tissues, the nerves, the arteries in the pelvic region. It was my fifth time being in this class and each time I was in class, I learnt something more, I improved a bit more on the listening skills, I cleared a bit about my doubts, I realized more about how to approach patients better in certain conditions. 
In this school, with all the top osteopathic teachers, we are trained to be able to work on even a tiny nerve, an artery, a ureter, a small part of fascia. We release the tension of a local area, or a twist of an artery, and this allows the body to restart the self-healing program in a smoother and more effective way. The photos were taken when we learnt the way to treat Pudendal Nerve. A nerve that is derived from S2-4 which supplies genital organs. It is a nerve that needs extra attention and irritation of this nerve is probably the worst neurogenic pain one could ever have. Patient needs to be patient because the recovery time would be at least 9-12 months. In VM3 we could not cover everything, but this nerve will be closely studied in Neuro-meningeal Manipulation level 5 (NM5). Roberto will come to Asia - Hong Kong from 19-21 November 2018 for NM5 and also 23-25 November 2018 for Visceral Vascular Manipulation of Upper Body (VVMU). Иногда встречаешь людей, ежедневным подвигом которых удивляешься. В хорошем смысле. Сегодня на повторный прием пришла пожилая дама 87 лет с букетом заболеваний, перенесшая тяжёлый перелом костей таза на фоне остеопороза, который безуспешно лечили 3 месяца в поликлинике. Как итог гипостатических осложнений - сформировался тромбоз правой голени. Паралельно с лечением тромбоза выполнена фиксацию костей таза винтами через проколы. Но и тут не все гладко. Перед самой выпиской получаем обширную гематому правого бедра на фоне антикоагулянтов и инъекций в бедро. Гематома настолько большая, что потребовала переливания крови. Как исход напряжённой гематомы сформировался неврит седалищного нерва. 4 месяца ушло на лечение невропатии. На сегодняшний день ходит без дополнительной опоры. Все переломы срослись, и выглядит она молодцом. Не смотря на всю тяжесть своего состояния она не сдалась. Стойко выдержала все испытания, ведь было и больно и страшно. 
Ни раз наблюдал, что именно самообладание и оптимизм помогали моим пациентам встать на ноги и восстанавиться после тяжёлых ударов судьбы.

¿Eres de los o las que al hacer cuclillas no pueden apoyar el talón en el suelo?
No hay que verlo como algo normal, que sea frecuente no tiene por qué ir asociado a la normalidad, veámoslo como algo que hay que abordar y mejorar para nuestro día a día. Mejorar nuestra funcionalidad y nuestra calidad de vida y evitar compensaciones innecesarias.

Causas:
➡️ Falta de movilidad del tobillo, concretamente falta de dorsiflexión
➡️Acortamiento cadena posterior: tríceps sural, isquiotibiales.
➡️ Posible retroversión pélvica o rectificación. - Suele afectar más a hombres.
➡️Falta de movilidad de la cadera y pelvis.
➡️ Déficit trabajo muscular glúteos
- Puede conllevar fascitis plantar como consecuencia de todo lo dicho.
- El uso de tacones de manera continúa provoca o/y empeora esta condición.

⚫️⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹ Reverse Crunches - Low Abdominals ⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⚫️
Starting with the most basic and fundamental understanding of how to focus on lower core areas. The Reverse crunch with ball between legs helps keep your body in alignment as you learn to engage core muscles with out hurting back or neck areas. ⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹
1️⃣ Hook legs over ball. Engage abdominals. Shoulders and Head back on ground. Keeping low back flat on ground initially, start to raise legs to chest. 
2️⃣ Part way toward top of movement let low back come  off ground slightly. Keeping entire core engaged. 
Hold top of movement slightly maybe count of 1 second. 
3️⃣ Slowly lower legs toward floor, keeping core fully engaged. Don't lose contraction in core muscles at bottom of movement. And repeat. 
4️⃣ Go through the movement slowly. Keeping core engaged all the way through. 
5️⃣ Perform 3 sets of 10 to 50 repetitions. ⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹

The Walcher’s technique: 
This is an engagement technique for labour wherein contractions will help engage a baby that is high or not really in the pelvis yet. 
The birther’s legs hang off the bed which arches her back. It can be painful for some and the addition of the roll under the back may offer a little relief. The weight of the legs hanging and the arch created can allow babe to engage. Contractions must be present for this to happen and it needs to be performed with a knowledgeable care provider. The position is generally held through 2-4 contractions. 
I have seen this used a few times over the last 2+ decades of attending births and it has been effective each time! 💙

The weight of the legs hanging and the arch created can allow babe to engage. Contractions must be present for this to happen and it needs to be performed with a knowledgeable care provider. The position is generally held through 2-4 contractions. I have seen this used a few times over the last 2+ decades of attending births and it has been effective each time! 💙

So i just went to the osteopath today because ive been having trouble with my back for around 6 months. Unfortunately my sacrum and pelvis is twisted, this means i can’t do any sport at all this week and maybe not even next week. I will try and post some older videos of me riding for you though. I aslo have to go back to the osteopath on friday to try and move my pelvis and sacrum straight again☹️

Good morning for you and good evening for me :)
Because I'm always confused, I decided that since today I will always write "hello”. As you know 5 months ago I had #c-section, and during the last weekend I was in Classic Pilates #workshops. Unfortunately, my #biggest problem are the stomach muscles, but just the part below the belly button. I can't feel them.
So we can't talk about a good #movement with control and awareness. However we all know that I have to activate this body part. ➡️So how to do it?
Through pelvis and spine controls

While I am involving the #spine and #pelvis, I #activate the #muscles below belly button, which I do not feel. 
On the video is a proposal for a #workout, for me, which meets all the requirements :) And always doing #Classical Pilates. ➡️The first #circles are big, but the #pain of the scar was very high, so I reduced the range of the movement and I did #small circles.

Normally a #healthy #person will do big circles and without baby arc.

That's what it's all about. You adjust the exercises to your abilities. ❗Remember❗, there is no exercises that fits everyone.

Why?
Because everyone is different.

The pelvic physiotherapist taught me a lot, it was an absolute eye opener! I learnt that it wasn’t just my ovary that was causing me so much pain. I was informed that my hip flexor is actually tight and that’s what is causing me the unwanted extra pain! She gave me exercises to help stretch my hips out, and taught me how to properly relax all my pelvic muscles so they aren’t tight all the time. In that little bit of time I spent with her there was a huge difference, and now I live pain free. Except for the PCOS pains I get which I am able to manage in a healthy way.
I now make the conscious effort to do yoga to aid in stretching my body as a whole not just my hips and to help me relax and find myself, so I can be my best self!
