Well it’s official...dental school here I am! So thankful for everyone who helped me get to where I am today, especially you mom and dad ! This dream started 8 years ago and I am still shocked that today marks the beginning of my path towards becoming a dentist. What are you waiting for?
Breakfast means ‘Breaking the Fast’. When we don’t have breakfast our body goes in to starvation mode.
If you think about it, whilst we sleep we don’t eat so when we wake up we haven’t eaten for around 7-8 hours.
On an average day we should be eating with 2-3 hour gaps, 3 meals a day and 2 high protein snacks to keep us fuller for longer.
We store fat cells if we don’t eat and our body’s eat away at our muscles meaning we will slow down our metabolism.
We will also slow down or even prevent the process of weight loss and may result in gaining weight and fat being stored.
So next time you think ‘I’ll have a big lunch’ or ‘I’m not that hungry’ but then snack on high carb and calorie snacks throughout the day. Remember; your actually preventing weight loss, your cells will store fat and you will most likely gain weight whilst also slowing down your metabolism.
You need to make sure that your body is getting all the nutrition it needs to feed your cells in your body, all the right nutrition leads to weight loss, this is why breakfast needs to be the most nutrition filled meal of the day, this is where Herbalife comes in- making sure that in under 300 calories my body is getting exactly what it needs!
