I’ve learned that fear limits you and your vision. It serves as blinders to what may be just a few steps down the road for you. The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom - how great is that?
It seems the beginning of each new experience we take “the photo”. It captures that last moment of who we were before the next step of our journey changes us into who we grow to next. We are comprised of these pivotal moments - fabric woven with joy , sadness, fright, pride, unknowing but confident. Sometimes for some “the photo” will be the last-to those lost on the trail we are blessed with the time we had together. Regardless on how many finish or how we finish, we all are changed. I become filled with awe & gain strength from the earth to continue to even more instances of “the photo”.
Day ?? - Etna to Saeid Valley - "Man-eater Lake"
I've seen more than a few pristine alpine lakes on this walk. This one was by far my favorite. Squeezed into a steep gully, surrounded by tall mountains and slippery scree, it felt like the sort of place that had been frozen in time. If Rowan hadn't been waiting for me up ahead, I was very seriously considering descending the saddle to camp right next to it for the night.
Probably best I didn't. It wasn't until the next day that I pulled out the map and saw it was labelled man-eater lake!
Woke up at 0530 this morning to break down camp! Second run was a better night sleep! This will be my routine everyday out on the #trail . I am thankful that my family has 30 acres of land to get a test run of all my #sleepinggear , and how #isolated I will be from #civilization .
Good morning #hikers
First night testing out all my sleeping gear went pretty smooth, only woke up once, not used to such a stiff sleeping pillow and I kinda #starfish when I’m 💤💤. But I was warm as can be and loved waking up alone in meadow all with the sounds of nature singing to me. 🏕
When I go into the wilderness I find a peace which equates to leaving the bonds of our life on earth. I feel one with the universe. It holds me. Truly “Mother Earth” keeps me in her arms and shows me all the beauty of the land, sea and sky. Each time I wander here I feel as a child full of wonder.
🌲🌍What if we lived in terms of seconds and minutes instead of days, weeks, months, a year? How would you make each second count?
Those seconds will turn into days, weeks, months, and years. Eventually, your time will run out. Spend it wisely, spend it happy, spend it passionately, spend it lovingly. That's how you invest your time into something worthwhile
