It indeed was not as cold over the mountains that night, and there was more traffic come morning. Not much, but after a day where the ratio of cars passing to hours waiting was 1:1 or worse any improvement was not to be discounted.
We started the day with what would be our only ride down the length of Argentina in the back of a pickup. Thus of course we had to be overtaken by another vehicle as we climbed in the back, and that vehicle had to be one of the few continuing beyond the town as we were. The road still of dirt and especially dusty here in the arid north we were quickly coated by the thick plume spun up in front of us (and after I had just scrubbed my hide - the nerve!)
We were moving much faster, or raring to, and at the first chance overtook and coated them in turn. Our ride after next would be the only that day to take us more than a hundred kilometres, toward the end the road finally becoming paved. Traffic would only pick up so over the coming days, but at least we would no longer be choking in the dust of their rejection.
To keep your #asphalt pavement in good order, it needs to be regularly inspected and maintained. Without proper #sealcoating , asphalt will begin to show signs of wear from oxidation, water and other chemical penetration. The symptoms of serious asphalt failure case include interconnecting cracks, and obvious depressions on the #pavement , called #potholes . Once formed, a pothole can accumulate water in it causing more damage. Over time, the substrate will be undermined resulting in an expensive asphalt repair.
Here are some #jobinprogress pictures our ABC Paving & Sealcoating team has been working on this week!
A parking lot must be easily accessible to everyone—especially the disabled. Parking lots that violate the 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐈𝐈𝐈 could face costly fines and potential lawsuits. ⚠️We will make sure that your lot is compliant with all regulations (pertaining to parking lots!)
