In this life we can become consumed by so many different things happening around us. We get so caught up in our routine that we forget what it’s like to pause. When this happens, I tend to forget about the love of Jesus. I become so robotic with the back and forth from school, work, home, and church that I forget for whom I am living for and why I do what I do. This season has been a challenge. Many times I’ve forgotten God. But as I’ve been traveling through, Jesus has time and time again reminded me of His tender and patient love for me. The kind of love that sits next to me and waits till I respond. The kind of love that looks at me tenderly and smiles and without any words, lets me know it’s ok and that I don’t need to rush. It’s a beautiful quiet presence that meets me where I’m at. God speaks to me through song. And today as I listened to “Endless Alleluia” by @coryasbury and “Remember Me” by Mark Schultz, I was so overwhelmed with tears by this love that I almost had to pull over my car. In my rushing and running, Jesus spoke and said “I remembered you at the cross , remember me here and now.” Today I am reminded of my first love. Jesus is the only one I want to cling to, the only one who I want on my mind. The only love that TRULY satisfies me. He is my shepherd, so I’ve got all I need.
🕯A message from my inner parent: The Hanged Man 🕯
Until recently, I kinda struggled with this card. I never knew how to approach it. But it’s come up a few times recently and I am loving it. It feels like a deep breath. Like softening into a good stretch. •
There’s been so much Wand & Sword energy around me that this card really does feel like a message from a caring parent. It would be good for me to be thoughtful and to take pause before big movement. It is useful to consider new perspectives. And moments of waiting, of suspension, of forced stillness, are not marks of failure. (And failure isn’t a Bad Thing anyway). Growth can still happen in the pause. Look at the morning glory growing on the structure and down his leg. It’s not falling or failing. It’s just growing in a different direction. Using the pause. 🖤⏸🌿⏸🖤
Sit down. I have something to say.
The question used to be, "What drives you?" Now I want to ask: "What stops you in your tracks and causes you to be in awe and wonder of the world around you? What gives your life meaning? How can you bring that into your life and business so you can live in your purpose?" Because I think we need more of what stops us (nature, nurture, meaningful life moments, and connection) and less of what drives us.
I want to be a coach/strategist/advisor that is remembered for helping my clients stay in touch with what really mattered to them, rather than helping them feed into the vortex that more is better and striving to survive is a life worth living. I want to be the coach that values the talents, strengths, and resources clients already have and to help them embrace seasons where that is enough.
Today's Lunch Warm brown rice & tuna salad ⏸ Making great use of the left over rice and corn on cob just added tuna, spring onion, fresh parsley, red capsicum. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and pomegranate molasses with a sprinkle of dried chilli flakes YUM ON A PLATE 😋🌶
Let the bucket of memory down into the well,
bring it up. Cool, cool minutes. No one stirring, no plans. Just being there. /
This is what the whole thing is about. /
