My week 7 Patriots vs Bears Game Preview. Here are a couple of my key notes on what the Patriots should exploit/watch out for in order to come away with the W tomorrow!
1.) First and foremost, slow down Khalil Mack! The Miami Dolphins last week did an amazing job last week as Brock Osweiler had 44 drop backs with 0 sacks. The Patriots need to get the RB’s and Dwayne Allen involved in double-triple teaming Mack.
A simple nudge off the edge from a RB can make a big difference in slowing down Mack. And when Mack is shut down, just about everyone else shuts down on that line.
2.) To slow down the Bears pass rush we need to do what we do best.... short quick pass plays. Screens, short option routes and even short crossing routes. And once we got them shooting to the underneath we hit Josh Gordon Down the sideline vs 1 on 1 man coverage.
3.) Also do what the Pats do best. Run creative routes. Confuse the DB’s and MLB’s and create space for easy yards. When it comes to creative routes the bears tend to get lost and end up giving up 10-15 yard plays.
4.) Another weakness I saw with bears last week is pulling linemen in run plays. Which we did outstanding on against the Chiefs. So pull linemen on run plays for positive yards!
5.) The Bears are going to try their hardest to establish the running game. I bet they’re main game plan is to keep Brady on the bench. So we must get penetration to stop the run.
6.) Run Man coverage plays. If we can blanket the Bears receivers then we can shut down that bears offense. We can not give too much cushion against these receivers, we must be physical and give our D line extra time to get to Mitch Trubisky.
7.) I want Brady to get Josh Gordon active. He’s a strong physical guy and I know he can push around the bears smaller statured Corners. I know he can make big plays for us.
That’s my week 7 notes, thanks for reading!
Injury Update: TE Jacob Hollister is ruled Out, DE John Simon is ruled out and DE Geneo Grissom is ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the Bears.
Rob is still questionable for some reason. Everyone knows he wasn’t on the plane with the Team so I’m not sure why they haven’t ruled him out yet. And yes.... the patriots are going to be playing with 1 Tight End tomorrow... Jacob Hollister is really pushing it for me, as he’s always hurt when we need him the most.
Bad news: Gronk did not travel with the team and is “highly unlikely” to play tomorrow (back). He hasn’t been ruled out yet as the Patriots say it depends on how Gronk feels. Gronk is one of 10 Pats listed as questionable for tomorrow. Others receivers are going to have to step up if Gronk can’t play and get open quickly. We can’t have Brady taking too many hits from this tough Bears pass rush. One big hit on Brady could ruin the franchise. He must get the ball out quick.
#Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski is “highly unlikely” to play Sunday vs. the #Bears , per @mysportsupdate. Gronk didn’t travel with the team and is most likely not going to be available. Big loss for the #Pats . ———————————————————————————

Injury Report: Rob Gronkowski didn’t travel with the patriots to Chicago for tomorrow’s game due to an Ankle and Back Injury. He will most likely miss tomorrow’s game since he hasn’t been officially ruled out but if he didn’t travel with the team then that really means he’s going to be out. But hopefully his injuries aren’t too serious to where he will miss more games.
HAPPY SENIOR DAY! (sorry I’m late, I just woke up because I’m now nocturnal) I so wish I could’ve been there but I’ll be sending you something soon 😘 love you lots and congrats on an awesome season and career! #bestgoalieever#PATS
