Y’all know what time it is..... In exactly 30 days one of my best buddy’s turns 4 Years Old. He’s grown so much this year since going to school. He dresses himself & he’s even gone on a date around the cul-de-sac with his neighbor ..... This kid has been 3 years old for 2-3 years now so, his official Birthday is long overdue. I’m eager to see how @ms_maneater pulls off this Ghostbuster 👻 Birthday Party when she gets back into town.... Just think, this time next year we’ll be preparing him for Pre-K and won’t be paying a mortgage note to send him to daycare... #ParkerCantLose#ParkerBrothers#RavinBoys
Monopoly is a board game where players roll two six-sided dice to move around the game board, buying and trading properties, and develop them with houses and hotels. It was first published by Parker Brothers in 1935. Players collect rent from their opponents, with the goal being to drive them into bankruptcy. Monopoly has become a part of international popular culture, having been locally licensed in more than 103 countries and printed in more than 40 languages.
During World War II, the British Secret Service contacted Waddington (who could also print on silk) to make Monopoly sets that included escape maps, money, a compass and file, all hidden in copies of the game sent by fake relief charities to prisoners of war. #monopoly#parkerbrothers#tablegame#boardgame#dice#britishsecretservice
What a fantastic day! Seriously one of the best days I've had in a long, long time. My back felt great when I woke up. I had to get up a bit earlier today because I was meeting a fitness instructor at my gym. I thought it was going to be a simple orientation. Just showing me the various equipment and how to use it/adjust it. While that happened, he essentially turned it into a personal training session. He spent 50 minutes with me and gave me a decent workout. I even had a bit of sweat going. Lol. I followed this up with my current routine. 60 minutes of various treading and 20 minutes of lap swimming. I honestly could have gone more I felt that great. However I didn't want to push it and reinjure my back. After my cool down, I left the gym and grabbed a drink, but before I headed home I decided to make a Goodwill run. And sitting on the shelf were these two.
I've been thinking about buying Wits & Wagers Family Edition for a bit now. I have the deluxe version and I've been using that for my game night at the apartment but I'm close to having read all the questions. Not that repeats are necessarily bad in this game but variety is nice. Plus these questions are obviously more family oriented which I'm hoping will be easier for some of the players. The game is missing some pieces but it looks like all the question cards are there which is the most important part for me. Well worth the price in my opinion.
Lionheart is a game that's been on my thrift radar for a long time. I wouldn't call it a grail game but it's close. I'm lucky to have found it and it looks good for its age. It's missing one soldier and a couple other pieces are broken but this shouldn't prohibit game play. I wanted this game as a kid. I remember the commercials playing on tv. Now it's in my collection. I just have to find an opponent. Lol.
How's your day/weekend going? I hope it's going as well as mine. Everyone deserves to have a stellar day.
