Last of First Grade!
This year this girl became an awesome independent reader, she found her voice at school, she led her reading group, she played goldilocks, she donated 12" of hair to women battling cancer, she hosted her first slumber party, and took on being a big sister to two crazy brothers! We are so proud of her 💗💗 #herecomes2ndgrade#bigsis#oldest#pantenebeautifullengths#momof3
Funny story: a girl walks into a hairdresser’s to donate her hair and is so excited over her haircut . . . that she forgets her old hair at the salon 🙃 That girl is me and I swear I’m an honors student 🙈Shoutout to @soonbeautylab and Brandon ( @urbanheaddress ) for a fantastic experience and dealing with my complete lapse in intelligence. I was beyond impressed by this place. Not only did they hold onto my hair for two days until I could make it back 🙌🏻, they sell cruelty free products and they donate the hair clippings on the floor to make mats that absorb oil spills as part of @greencirclesalons ! I know this sounds like a sponsored add but I swear I’m just that amazed and thankful! You’ll probably be hearing more about life with a pixie because I’m obsessed but for now happy Friday everyone! I’ll return to regularly scheduled food posts now I promise 💕
I’ve changed a lot since my freshman year-physically and mentally. I’m very proud of these changes and I’m beginning to love the person I’ve become. I have improved on my singing abilities, which takes a big role in my life. I have also cut off 9 inches of my hair to donate to #pantenebeautifullengths , which I am going to do again soon. One of the changes that I am not so proud of is my weight. I’ve struggled with this since I was little. Since my freshman year, I have gained weight and I’ve been from a size 12 to a size 20. I’m learning not to let this dictate who I am, and to keep working at living a healthy lifestyle. I may not have a body figure that I’m proud of, but I am proud of my body. I love my eyes, my hair, and my smile. These should be the qualities that people look at on any person, not their body figure/weight. Looks do not define beauty, personality defines beauty. Learn to love yourself, no matter what. Thank you to the people who have helped me see that. #transformationthursday#loveyourself#sizedoesntmatter#senioryear 🎓 #senioritisalready#singing#valleysgottalent
May God bless the hair I’ve donated today so that it will lighten the heart of a woman in a dark place in her life. You say it’s just hair until you find it falling out uncontrollably and you feel like you’ve lost your identity. I already miss my hair, it’s been long for a few years and although I’ve had a short cut before, abruptly cutting it short today was a shock to me even though it looks great, it’s not about the look it’s about how you feel and that is what this means to me. To contribute to helping a sister smile through a difficult time in her life as she tries on wigs from the #americancancersociety and she finds the perfect one that looks almost like her own hair. Some of that hair might be mine, sent to #pantenebeautifullengths and made into a wig, given free of charge. #cancersucks#curlyhairdonation Credits to @shinebrightbycaila for my new classy and sassy #pixiecut 💇🏽🌺❤️
