Today we celebrate mothers day in Antwerp. It is a good time to honor all our mothers out there. It is also a moment to reflect on those who lost their mother, lost their child or never will have a child. It is important to honor a tradition, but also realize that this tradition can be very confronting for some of us... Tonight I'll celebrate with my family and especially my mother and grandmother. 'Vandaag zetten we ze in de bloemmetjes.' For this occasion, I made another batch of cookies with violets.
Do you think my mom would love these?
E vc? Vc sente uma pitada disso aí do outro lado quando vê as minhas fotos? 🇬🇧 When you look at a flower bed, what do you feel? I feel such a joy ... a feeling of fullness of the look and if I am conscious at the moment, I feel a lot of gratitude too !!! That's what I try to show in my pieces ... And you? Do you feel a pinch of it on the other side of the screen when you see my photos?

Our crop of homegrown Pansies and Violas is starting to bloom!
Pansies are a popular choice for fall and spring color. They will bloom right up until they freeze, and frequently come back in late winter. They're a great option for some color while the rest of your garden is dormant. The flowers are edible and make a great garnish for salads.
Ours are only $2.29 each, or $1.69 each when you buy 12 or more. We grow them right here at our nursery in Issaquah 🙂
