Dinosaur Island is a brilliant homage to Jurassic Park by not only giving players the options to research dinosaurs and build exhibits for them but it comes complete with financial strain, dinosaurs eating the guests and plot twists only @pandasaurus_games and @brianlewisgames could achieve! The learning curve isn’t steep but immense focus is needed to learn the mechanics but once you’ve learned them this game is not only easy to understand but also easy to teach! I may be biased because well duh, but this is easily one of my favorite games so far. I say that a lot about the games I play, but I truly see this one lasting in my top 3 for awhile. Roller coasters, dinosaurs and dice, what more do I need? Oh yea that #totallyliquid expansion!! Can’t wait to find a copy!! 10/10 Cannot wait to play again! #boardgames#boardgamenight#boardgaymer#boardgamegeek#boozeandboardgames#dinosaurisland#pandasaurusgames#workerplacement

We played Dinosaur Island by @pandasaurus_games last night.
We set it up and played through along with the @watchitplayed Dinosaur Island How to Play video, which is a great video to get you started, especially if you hate reading boaed game rules and just want to start playing.
The components are great quality, the tracker board has cut outs for the tracker cubes and the art work reminded me of the earlier 90s styles.
We decided to go with the short version of the game since it was our first time through and still had it sealed in the box.
I liked that there are several ways to achieve the objectives to win and that the objectives are randomized each game so you don't have to go for the same strategy each game.
It has a great theme which is possibly loosly based on a popular movie franchise you may be familiar with, but unlike most games that are based on licensed properties, this game is well thought out and has a lot going for it and didn't just go for a theme that will sell a game.
We will definitely be playing this one again soon.

Como buenos niños noventeros, nos cuesta resistirnos a todo producto del mundo jurásico. Pero para cuidar de nuestro bebé diplodocus y gestionar nuestro parque temático...necesitamos su versión en castellano.

Finally got to play this tonight. Both 2 and 3 player games. Made it to Level 6 in 3 player and Level 9 in 2 player.
Lots of staring at each other, making faces, and trying to figure out who goes next. Was pretty stressful, tense, funny, and had some very relieving moments successfully completing higher levels.
Quick to play and learn. Good starter or filler game.
Although not for everyone, recommend this one for those looking for some mind-melding fun.
Dinosaur Island. It devours table space like a brontosaurus. I don't know why it looks like Miami Vice threw up all over the table, but holy neon, Batman! And the theme song from Jurassic Park will not get out of my goddamn brain.
Also, these coins are heavy enough to commit a murder with. It's quite ridiculous.
Too many cute 🦖 pieces to handle, let alone take a proper pic! 📸😂 Seriously though, the heft of the metal coins in ‘Dinosaur Island’ is just right and who knew making dino 🦕 DNA could be so fun? It’s almost a mid-weight euro, and we enjoyed the variable specialist and building cards 😊.
