Broken Arrow Ranch is an artisanal producer of high quality free-range venison, antelope, and wild boar meat. They field harvest only truly wild animals by partnering with ranchers in Central and South Texas as an integral part of their population management programs. This practice provides a humane life and harvest for the animals, maintains a sustainable animal population for the rancher, and produces wild game meats of legendary quality.
This is probably one of the freshest smoothies I ever did ❄️
What goes inside: 1 banana, half a lemon, around 200ml of coconut water, 1/4 of a cucumber and 1 table spoon of hemp seeds. I already understood that all the smoothies that have cucumber+coconut water tend to be may favorites 😅

Hey hey🤗 it’s Jessica from @devotedexistence for #takeovertuesday 💕 I woke up this morning craving waffles, so I just had to make some😋 I used @birchbenders paleo mix because you just have to add water! My waffles didn’t look this pretty, so here’s a throwback to when they did💁🏼♀️
Pre-yoga sculpt breakfast!🏋🏻♀️
1 can of Skipjack Tuna + 1 hardboiled egg, @primalkitchenfoods Spicy Mustard + @traderjoes Bagel Seasoning. A bowl of @traderjoes Butternut Squash Noodles topped with @montebene Spicy Marinara + @bragglivefoodproducts Nutritional yeast. Served with a side of raspberries. 👍🏻
Give me a tortilla press, and we'll make some epic tacos every dang day! 🌮
I haven't published a new taco recipe since making my taco e-book (which you can get for FREE by signing up for my newsletter!), but I think it's time for something fresh. Help me dream up some taco ideas in the comments! 👇
One of my favourite ways to eat eggs is like this! Hard boiled, then mashed, a little homemade whole egg mayo and then just let your imagination loose! Today's flavour is nacho cheese using Mexican spices and savoury yeast flakes. When I don't get time to make my own seed crackers these @carmanskitchen ancient grain ones are the bomb! 💣💥😋
Pumpkin spice EVERYTHING!😍
I love these pumpkin pie @larabar for snacks!🎃
All the ingredients are REAL! No junk! Just dates, cashews, apples, almonds, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and ginger!🧡
Someone, somewhere, is using your excuses as their reason. Someone else is up against the same circumstances you are using as a reason to stay stuck... they don’t have the time, they don’t have the money, they don’t have the resources or the help or the motivation... and they’re seeing it as an OBSTACLE to be overcome, not an EXCUSE to hide behind.
I see this with women and their health allllll day. It NEVER seems like the right time to make yourself a priority.
We think things will magically be easier in the future. We won’t have as much on our plate, things will have “settled down”, we’ll have more money and more time.
I invite you to try this on for size: start seeing now as the best time. Start speaking as though today is an opportunity for new beginnings.
My four-week group nutrition program begins OCTOBER 1st! Four weeks from now you could have more energy, a smaller waistline, and a better relationship with food.
Link in bio to register. We start next week! Message me with questions.
Breakky for dinner!! Why? Because we’re flying back to Wisconsin on Thursday so we aren’t grocery-hauling this week and are instead utilizing every morsel of food in the fridge so nothing gets wasted. Tonight’s super simple meal:👇🏼
2 fried @hickmanseggs in avocado oil, a side of sliced avocado with EBTB (shocking, isn’t it?!) and some microgreens. You’d think I’d get sick of this combo BUT that’ll never happen because I am quite literally as * B A S I C * as they come! Who else loves their eggs with those crispy brown edges?!
I came up with this recipe for Ginger Sweet Potatoes when I was pregnant. I added lots of ginger to help with the morning/all day sickness but it tastes good even if you’re not pregnant. I can’t wait to make this recipe this fall!
beef stew szn 🙌🏼🙌🏼 having this for lunch all week 👌🏼 -
to make - add about 2 lbs of stew beef to your crockpot, and mix with arrowroot powder, salt and pepper. chop up carrots, potatoes, celery and any other veggies you want and add those on top of the beef. add broth (i use kitchen basics vegetable broth - it’s #whole30 compliant!) and set your crockpot on low for about 8-10 hours #septemberwhole30
Started my Monday with a 9 AM Yoga Sculpt session @corepoweryoga !🏋🏻♀️

Bread. I think it’s the thing that people miss most when going grain free with AIP. I really love this AIP Cassava Flatbread recipe because it’s got a secret ingredient that keeps it flexible, moist and chewy. It’s really the closest recipe I’ve tried that comes close to real tortillas or flatbread. Can you guess the secret ingredient?

Health today vs. health in the past:
Why are vitamins important???
As I’ve been doing my studies for my holistic nutrition program, I have learned so much about health in all different cultures and through different time periods! It’s honestly so interesting to me to learn about the ways that people in other cultures have used food as medicine over the past thousands of years. In 1928, Szent-Gyorgyi found that the absorbic acid in citrus fruits was extremely powerful for curing scurvy and was later named vitamin C. Other vitamins throughout the years were used to cure so many diseases from Beri-beri to rickets and so many others! These diseases were completely reversed by simply addressing the nutrient deficiencies. Rickets is a disease in which there is a softening of bones, muscle weakness, and pain in the spine which was found to be reversed by adequate amounts of vitamin D added to the diet. Some of these diseases were even fatal such as pellagra which was reversed with vitamin B3. The list goes on and on and the crazy thing is that so many of these diseases have symptoms overlaps with diseases that people struggle with today! Over 100 years ago, it was discovered that vitamins were also necessary components to life and without them, disease developed. As someone who has struggled with a vitamin D deficiency for years (it’s finally in the normal range whoooo!!!) I have seen first hand how important vitamins and minerals are to health. If you aren’t feeling like your ideal self, a vitamin deficiency could be to blame! However, it is possible to take an excess amount of certain vitamins so it’s important to work with a functional medicine doctor or nutritionist to monitor levels or symptoms! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you take a daily vitamin?
I’ve been having some unexplained issues with digestion lately. Honestly, I think it comes from the stress of being sick and the anxiety I feel on a daily basis.
Here’s what I’m doing at mealtime to help make digestion go a little smoother. 🍽Sit down. It’s important to stop, sit and focus. I’m so much more relaxed when I’m sitting vs standing. 🍽Slow down. When I’m chasing after my toddler, I don’t usually have much time to enjoy my meal. I usually just scarf down food as fast as possible to keep up with my little ball of energy. I know a lot of you can relate. I’ve been trying slow down and actually taste my food and try not to rush. 🍽Eat with intention. I’m trying to be more present when I eat because there are days I don’t even taste my food due to being completely distracted. I need to listen to my body more and focus on the meal. 🍽Be thankful. It’s really hard not to associate pain with food. I need to be better at being thankful for the nourishment that even my limited number of foods provides.
Do you struggle at mealtime too? Any tips or nuggets of wisdom you can share??
I’m not a fan of super sweet salad dressings but I like this Pumpkin Maple vinaigrette. The maple syrup adds just a little bit of sweetness. Not sugary sweet just natural pumpkin sweet. It’s a great balance between sweet and savory.
