My lunch today! When you work two jobs you need to stay prepped! Ive been really bad at this so far! When you work so much its easy to eat whatever is fast and easy. A lot of times we will go for sugary or high carb meals for that initial sugar that bumps up our energy, but in the long run it slows you down, makes you tired, sick and cranky. I cut up all the fruit and cooked the chicken for the salad in the beginning of the week so I can just throw everything together in the morning! It works out great but I need more easy @whole30 approved summer recipes! That sad handful of 9 chips has 150 cals, 9g fat, 16g carbs & contains sunflower/vegetable oil & fillers, yikes! 3 cups air popped popcorn is only 93 calories & only contains 1 ingredient: popcorn. You can also cook it in a pan with olive oil if you prefer it that way!
Frappuccino ➡️Iced Coffee w/ Coconut Milk - Frappuccinos are sugar bombs! A grande mocha with 2% milk has 61g sugar & 400 calories while an unsweetened iced coffee with coconut milk containers 25 calories & 2g sugar. Now, that’s an easy swap that will save you a ton of calories & sugar!
Burger with bun ➡️ burger lettuce wrap - Save yourself the extra processed carbs when you swap a bun for a lettuce warp. While it’s perfectly ok to treat yourself to a full bun, swapping it out for a lettuce wrap on a regular basis with save you 18g+ carbs!

I have been obsessed with adding texture to my salads lately 🌱 Nothing spices up a salad more than a bit of CRUNCH and a CREAMY dressing am I right?! Some of my recent fave salad additions are purple cabbage, cucumber, lettuce, celery, spring onion or red onion and for my dressing I have been loving using tahini or mustard to make it super creamy & delicious 🤤
Organic mixed leaves, roasted pumpkin, purple cabbage, spring onion, cooked chicken breast, lemon juice, flaxseed oil, apple cider vinegar & tahini.
KOREAN GROUND TURKEY & RICE BOWLS
Korean Ground Turkey & Rice Bowls are so incredibly easy, it is a recipe that literally anyone could make and it is done fast, like dinner on the table in 20 minutes fast. Score!
1 pound ground turkey
2 cups uncooked rice (white or brown)
4 cloves garlic, grated or minced
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
green onion & sesame seeds for garnish
1. Cook rice according to package directions.
2. In a large skillet, over medium heat brown the ground turkey 8-10 minutes until fully cooked.
3. While turkey is cooking, make the sauce. Add garlic, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper to a bowl. Mix together.
4. Once turkey is fully cooked add the sauce to the skillet. Cook 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens/absorbs into the turkey.
5. Serve the turkey over the rice.
6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
To make this recipe paleo/whole30 friendly, sub coconut aminos for soy sauce, and sub cauliflower rice for rice.

Desk staples in the office include fresh fruit, ebtb seasoning (😍) & alllll the almonds to snack on 👌🏼 definitely thrown in the deep end with my workload more often than not, but trying to make room for balance and deep breathing (& nightly facetimes with momma while getting ready for bed!) 🤗 hope anyone else doing summer internships is having a good experience! 📍Jersey City, NJ

I don’t like to admit when someone does something better than me...it doesn’t happen very often. But I will say that my love does know how to cook and maybe, just a tiny little bit...it’s a really close tie!!...but I will admit that he is a better cook then me. When he does cook anyway. Lol. I am usually the one cooking, because it’s a passion of mine but Monday got to me. I didn’t even feel good enough to go to the gym! So my love made dinner tonight and it was everything I wanted. Marinated chicken breast with broccoli and Brussel sprouts over jasmine rice. Mmmmm. Thank you. @sircumfrence ❤️.
🥑🥑How I freeze avocados: cut them in half remove pits and flash freeze on a sheet pan. Then place in freezer bag and suck out all the air, date and label. These are great to have on hand for smoothies or guacamole!
