We all know the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle, only by taking care of ourselves we can be the kind of person we strive to be. But sometimes it just seems impossible to find time to workout, because life happens.🤷♀️ It's also important to make time to take care of yourself.
I have been extra busy today with finishing school stuff for my kiddos and planning our last family vacation before school starts.🤗
I still can't believe I will have a kindergartner and a preschooler in just 2 weeks.🙈 For the first time in 5.5 years I will have the mornings all to myself, well at least 3 mornings.😀
Anyway busy or not busy #noexcuses for this mama, gotta get my sweat on whenever I can. A quick 45min upper body and core was exactly what I needed for my busy day.💦💪💦
Future hubs, Prepare for silly! 😜
I’m a little Queen & a little clown. —I remember this #throwback vividly. A late, October, night.. going for a quick Walmart run. I was on the phone with a friend telling them about what I was wearing... I remember them saying... “Cayla, you are. Not..? No. No.” & of course, me being me.
Yes....😏oh yes. 😎
Today’s Fun Fact: my senior year, I got #promqueen & #classclown
As a leader in positive lifestyle workshops and owning a biz where I inspire kids each day, people always expect me to be "perfect". Always happy go lucky living the "perfect life, but that's not the reality.
Today was a perfect example of that.
This morning Coba, an 8lbs shihpoo who is super friendly, went up to a larger dog to sniff and say hi. The owner right away became angry with me saying my dog better back away because his dog would attack...attack?! I told the owner to then put his dog on a leash if he was prone to attacking others.
The owner didn't appreciate that I guess, because he then called me every name in the book.
My issue was not the words he called me but rather that I reacted in my old ways.
I yelled back and gave in to the negative environment.
I felt at that moment I needed to protect my baby and put this man in his place.
Right or wrong I've had a difficult time today trying to move past it.
I shouldn't have yelled back, I should have just walked away.
So as a leader I'm here to share with you that no one is perfect!
What really gets you down and how do you work yourself out of it?
So I'm having an unexpected mini-vacation and I decided to dedicate myself to quiet meditative time on a beach. Let's see where it takes me in mind and body. No sunburn, please. Vitamin D, thank you! Robyn
Going through some old family photos and came cross this gem of @williamm.sutton 👌🏽 You always have people to support you, you will always have someone or some people that you am turn to for guidance, aid or some love. It an be your family, your friend, your teacher, a counsellor, or even an aid worker. Reach out, ask for it. Take the step to help yourself. It 👏 is 👏 not 👏 selfish 👏 to reach out or take the time to figure out what you need and ask for it. You don’t always have to face things alone. There’s my mental ramble for the night, have wonderful evening my dudes ❤️ #bopo#selflove#selfcare#buildeachotherup#ownit
Know your worth.
You are the guac. Never let yourself think differently. 🥑
We spend a lot of time putting ourselves down and seeing ourselves in such a skewed view. It can lead to letting others walk all over us or taking advantage of us in some way. And it just doesn't have to be that way. You are worth extra effort and respect. Do not forget it.
I literally just found my girl crush. ❤️Well, this chick just gives me goosebumps! .
She’s real. Took the time to chat with our team! Totally down to earth and will totally get you to get your butt off the ground and start working on a better version of yourself. Work on yourself. Focus on yourself. ✨You are MORE than you have become. #rachelhollis
I’ve been reading personal growth and self development books lately. Shoot, I’m going to be thirty something in a few weeks. Let alone in a few years forty something. 😱 This book, this chick, is teaching me how to be a better version of myself. I want my kids the best mom version ever. Hubby deserves the best wife version ever. I’m in charge of myself, I’m in charge of our future and know damn well I’ll make sure to provide for my family the best version of ME. 🙌🏼
So, I dont have clothes...
...all my stuff is in a storage unit and not easily accessible for me to get... .
All I have with me is a couple of comfy shirts and pants, a few workout tanks and maternity clothes - it's why you see me in the same things. I dont have "nice" clothes to wear out or an outfit for the concert this weekend (not even a pair of shorts!) .
The last thing I wanted to do was go shopping 4 weeks PP but I ventured out anyway. In the fitting room, I had a moment where I told myself: "This is the worst time to be trying on clothes" and all those feelings of anxiety, self doubt and lack of confidence all came creeping back. I kept pulling the pants up higher to help hide my belly, analyzing every crease, and roll and giggles. I was on the phone with a friend and she was the one reminding ME of what my body has gone through the last 9 months and giving ME words of encouragement - even us coaches need a little help and someone to lift US up. .
Yes, I had to try on bigger sized jeans but I didnt care. As long as they fit and I felt good in them, it's all that mattered. I LOVE these @lclaurenconrad jeggings and top - it's totally a "Heather" outfit and was just the boost I needed.
To all the mamas out there: the number on the tag is just that, a number. As long as you feel sexy, confident and HAPPY, everything else is just bullshit. Dont forget the INCREDIBLE things your body did creating, carrying and bringing a tiny human into this world. You are a freaking rock star.
I came across this photo today! This party animal (who gets his fashion confidence from his Dad) is turning double ones on the 23rd! Thank for always reminding me to keep my sense of humor, James! Your smile is infectious and you are one of a kind! I love being your mom! 💕
