Saw @d.johansson91 do some high pulls and had to give them a shot. Today was just one of those days where the workout just dragged on and on and I just couldn’t get in the groove. I think I work better when I’m under time pressure and know I have to run to work. At least I got her done.

Banded skydivers 🍑 these are great for glute activation drills in your warm up OR as a burnout at the end of your workout / in between sets. 🔥
My favorite way & one I believe to be quite effective in training legs/glutes would be a heavy weighted exercise like hip thrust or reverse hyper for sets of 10-12 reps, then a burnout set of 20-30 reps with a body weight or banded exercise like this one 👆🏽#peachgang
The time of year to start heating our home has arrived! We fired up the wood boiler this week, and all the hard work done to cut wood since last year will now start to pay off- we won’t use any fossil fuels for the third year in a row and continue to save thousands on oil.
What’s special this year is most of the wood we’ll burn was collected by volunteering to help the elderly in our town after storms. When a tree would fall on their property we’d travel to their home and clean it up for them at no charge and take the wood. I’m thankful for all the free gifts of trees we’ve received!
Picked up two extra shifts this week, one today, my only complete day off both from jobs, tried to take step two in the process to volunteer for a religious organization that believes in everything I do, I find what’s happening with politics right now heart wrenching. I had to make it to the trees, Acadia reminded me how much I really need it. 20 minutes from home. Drove around with the heat full blast and windows wide open (drives Bella nuts) but need that fresh air and loud music. The reality is that I’m at the time in my life where I have to work twice as hard to get half the results. I am counting on all my recent training in both the indoor studio and outdoor gym to accelerate my winter activities. I don’t want to be that woman who says “remember when we used to ...” My goal is to hike, snowshoe and ski well into my retirement years (ok I have a few more working years ahead of me yet but I’m dreaming about that time in my life where I can get out every precious day). I keep running into this 86 yo local on my hikes around Vail and that’s my goal ... I want to be that 86 yo female hiker/skier/yogini! #perseverance
What makes you feel better when your sick? 😷
For me, getting outside of the house and out of your bed even if it is just for an hour makes me feel like a human again.
When I was little my mom would always take me and my sister on walks almost every night. If we were having a bad day, if we had a stomach ache, or just as an after dinner ritual we would take a few laps around the block until we felt better
Because of those times, I associate going on walks as a comforting thing that makes all my problems just disappear.
Soooo, since I’ve been laying in bed for the last 20 hours (which felt like a year). I decided to get out of my pjs and go for a run/walk lol (slow and steady)
I may have had to blow my nose on a few leaves and hork some lougies (so attractive) but some fresh air and sweat did me some good.
Now for some lozenges & tea 🍵
Roman exercise series... Part 3 .
My 2 boys have SO MUCH ENERGY. They are always on the move.. They constantly need to be entertained.
They yell.. They jump.. They fall.. They laugh really loud.. They are constantly talking my ear off..
And even though there are times I can't take anymore of it- I try my best not to shut it down or cut it off.
Encouragement of them using their energy in ways to explore movement and their imagination is so important! 🙏
But I know I'm not perfect..I know there are times when I shush them or tell them to "stop jumping/running..etc". .
This is an ongoing learning experience, for both children, and parent. ❤️

When I was Roman's age (he's 3), I loved to climb everything and jump and skip and run... I just loved to move and didn't want to stay still.
As you can see.. This kid is just like his mom! 😅💙
Working on his balance steps here. He tried this first without my assistance but got "stuck"... So he insisted that I hold his hand this time so he could finish all the steps properly. 😆

We are fortunate enough to have amazing parks that also have outdoor gyms to encourage the community to get moving!
This one was specifically built with our aging participants in mind. 🙏
Located outside of the Cameron recreational Centre and Library, this gym has everything you need to get in a full body, well rounded workout- regardless of your age or capabilities!
Roman is only 3 and loves to use the equipment to get a workout in like mommy. 😅
How do you encourage your little ones to add more physical activity into their daily routine?
One of the things I'm most looking forward to about motherhood is raising a little one to enjoy the simple joys that nature has to offer 🍁🌲 I hope he has as many wonderful memories as I do growing up exploring the world around us.

Edzés videókkal szeretnék a közeljövőben készülni. Szeretném, hogy azok az emberek is kedvet kapjanak az edzéshez, akik eddig úgy gondolták, hogy ez nekik túl nehéz vagy nincs ami alapján neki tudnának állni. 😊
Mivel pont ugyanilyen cipőben jártam, így tudom milyen érzés. Baromira nem volt kedvem soha edzeni, próbáltam itthon, teremben, majd a saját testsúlyos gyakorlatokkal folytattam... Az biztos, hogy meg kell szokni és nem a 2. napon leszel a sport szerelmese, főleg ha amúgyis sport nélküli életvitelt folytattál..DE biztos, hogy lesz olyan ami elnyeri a tetszésedet és akkor nincs megállás!
Egy kimeritő nap után sem lesz egyszerű, nekem sem az, de megcsinálom,mert '' látom a fejlődést és tudom, hogy az életben sokkal-sokkal jobban boldogulok mióta a sport az életem részévé vált! 😊

💾 I remember when the most exciting thing on my phone was Snake (snake 1 as well🙄), now I can do everything on it. If you find yourself wasting time on your phone instead of using your time wisely...get back in the moment- People prefer your presence.

The past few days I’ve been in a bit of a funk. Didn’t want to go to the gym so I just didn’t. No real reason why 🤷🏼♀️other than I just didn’t want to and wasn’t feeling motivated. I did some quick HIIT at home though the other day (which I filmed in case y’all are interested👍🏻) so at least I wasn’t entiiiiirely lazy the whole time 👌🏻 lol
Remember it’s okay, as long as you don’t completelyyyyy jump off the ship and then continue to swim far far away from the ship 🏊🏻♀️ lol. So here’s to being normal and having a few “off days” that weren’t supposed to be extra rest days but ended up being just that 👍🏻
